  No big problem with the split , Lady lee- but unclebruce and others like me do like to get extra details about Rutherford- somebody out in California just has to have an old cigarbox full of Rutherford letters up in their attic- We know some damning stuff on him has to still be out there!

  On a side note- I was told by the Elders back in the 70's to STOP doing handwriting analysis! I think there is a negative story about it in the publications- can someone look it up on the CD? Anyway, I kept doing it on the sly- Some of the single brothers gave me samples of certain unnamed sisters handwriting to examine for , uh special - abilities-

  Handwriting analysis of J.T. Rutherford

  i have been doing handwriting analysis for over 30 years.

  my experience shows that it can reveal the inner mind of an individual.

  i came accross a good sample of jt rutherford's handwriting on the inside cover of the 1941 book 'children'.. just a few of my observations of mr rutherford: his upward writing slant shows a postive mental attitude- the general slant to the right shows a man with above average emotional response.

  Yes handwriting styles do vary with regions- this is not an exact science. many analysts only specialize in one area or field- like helping an employer hire the person who is best suited for a particular job. A receptionist needs to be outgoing and have a good attitude, etc. The analyst can steer the employer away from candidates who who be unhappy dealing with people all day. Like wise jobs that are very detail oriented- the analyst can find that better employee from a dozen prospects. Since the people who write with the old style of penmanship are in nursing homes now, there isn't much demand to examine their handwriting

  Some aspects do not change- like pen pressure, writing size and slant--- very important!

  the question about despots- a lot of study has been put into that area and many scholarly works have been published. Some anti-social traits have been identified, but nobody really knows the trigger that makes a person a criminal or sociapathic killer. I once saw Lizzy Bordens handwriting- it showed to me a woman of extreme emotion and lack of self control- let the personal research begin!

  Diplomacy is one of Noel's best attributes. She has the ability to say what others want to hear. She can have tact with others. She has the ability to state things in such a way as to not offend someone else. Noel can disagree without being disagreeable.

  I didn't know you were a REALTOR I'm glad we're having fun- it can be an advantanage in selling to be able to read a persons handwriting- you can adjust your sales pitch to match the persons personality. pointy writing= use facts, pricing, details to sell your product rounded handwriting= appeal to the persons's emotions and desires to close the sale slanted handwriting= they make a decison fast vertical handwriting= it's gonna take awhile for them to make up their mind- no pushing! peace, Moshe

  i put up some st. patrick's decorations at work, including one of those demonized little leprechauns, and enjoyed the look of a jw i work with when she came into the office this morning.

  you know the look of pretending they didn't notice those evil holiday decorations?

  My g-grandfather was Irish- and he was quite a man. He took flatboats down the Missisippi, went to the California goldrush in 1849. And he remarried at age 70 after his wife died- by 80 he had fathered 4 more children. My grandmother was the last child born to him. He died in 1905 at the age of 103. I wonder what made him so strong?

  following are watchtower bible & tract society predictions of armageddon in the 20th century as found through a word search of the wtss cd-rom.. the society also quoted many secular sources that emphasized crisis in the 20th century.. such secular crisis-quotes would have reinforced in jw minds the prophecies of the world ending in the 20th century.. the following is a list of such secular quotes plus a few more of the wtss own comments.

  Thanks unclebruce, for a 35 year snapshot of Watchtower views about the year 2000 and their expectations of Armageddon by 2000. I remember having studies in the old Truth book and trying to put fear into the householder when we came to the 2000 predictions. I never could scare any Bible-study into Bapstism. I think they smelled a rat.

  This , would be a good thread for Mr. Pixies to read- he sure needs a Watchtower history lesson.

  as an able apologist for jw dogma, i am wondering whether you give me answers with scriptural backing for a few questions.

  in other words, whatever your answer is i would like scriptures to support the answer.

  i hope that is not too much to ask.. (1) was charles taze russell ever the "faithful and wise steward" assigned to give people their "portion of meat in due season"?.

  I guess it's all in the "eye of the beholder"-right? Take our President Bush here in the USA- when I look at his face and watch him on TV, I see an evasive individual- he has a certain 'shifty' look to me, I don't trust him! Other people see a great President. The only thing that matters is what history says about him in 20-40 years, history will prove to us if he was a great -or one of the worst Presidents .Can we not use history to see if the Watchtower Society has been a great religion , or one of the worst? Those of us on this discussion board who are former members of Jehovah's Witneses have done this and found the Watchtower society to fall into the 'worst' category. Living in the present will not reveal the truth about this organiztion. You are ,too close to just one page of history- you need to step way-way back, Mr. Pixie, to see whole story about the Watchtower Society.

  Why? Because you say so? And who are you? - hmm,I wonder, too ,mr pixies

  What we really want to hear from you is what it's like to live in a disfunctional JW family- you have a brother and sister who are by your own admission are messed up. JW's just can't seem to admit that the WT might have caused some problems in their life. It can all start with an honest admission of "I'm not happy". I have asked many JW's that question "are you happy" and after the say -yes or sure- I ask -"when are you going to stop lying?". The reason I mention this ,is a householder asked me that very question over 25 years ago. I kept asking myself why I was lying to everyone around me- G-d sure knew I was living a lie. I didn't know it then, but I had already started on the path out of the JW's as soon as I admitted to myself that, "I was not happy being a JW".

  I would not be surprised if their are now more ex-JW's than JW's in good standing (and with a new rule tomorrow from the Go verninbg Body you can summarily be placed in the bad standing category). A thinking person should start to notice that a awful lot of passengers are bailing off the SS Watchtower- maybe you need to look a little more carefully and you will see that the ship is taking on water fast. Throwing JW's (disfellowshipping/shunning) off the boat might help you avoid seeing the gapping hole in this rotten boat, but it's still going down- last call for a lifeboat-any takers?

  I'm glad people are getting some entertainment value form this, it is fun. The problem with the computer generated analysis is ,they have no way to do a + and minus = ,thing. Every trait is just added in with the next. In a real analysis the negative aspects of character would be counterbalanced with the positive ones to equal the sweet personality of our lady lee.
