by diana netherton inmy grandmother asked me to read to her so i asked her what she wanted me to read.
was the watchtower, but she specfically asked for the one with "the timeline.
it for a few days and apparently hasn't read up.

Got a angry letter from our oldest son today we are very hurt from it.

he basically said he does not what anything to do with us because of all the wrong things we did as parents to him and his brother.
he blames us for not being there for him and we are toxic parents.

I was upset with my dad from age 12 to about age 25--I felt my dad was too hard on me--- my dad was a farmer and organized team sports in town and at school was a waste of his time- he needed me to do chores after school and work on the farm in the summer. Consequently, I developed no interest in any sports- none. People think this is strange when I tell them I don't know who is playing in the superbowl or the world series. I really wanted to be in the Boy Scouts, but that too, was inconvenient to his schedule. -looking back, my dad did the best he could- he worked 20 hrs a day during peak planting and harvest times- my mom worked herself to an early grave with all the work a farm wife had to do. One day, after I became a father, I realized most kids never get to work shoulder to shoulder with their father, brother and uncle- you haven't seen man's work until you have baled hay. I'm not upset anymore and I never blamed my parents for my fate- being born on a farm- I had a taste of outside farm life and knew real freedom from the boss man in corporate america. I consider myself lucky to know the difference between the honest bread I earned with the sweat of my brow and the "government free stuff" that folks think they deserve just because they are breathing.

I think in this situation, they unloaded a lifetime of pent up anger all at once, because it was now safe to do so-- you are out of the KH and whatever they said can't come back to the KH to get them in trouble- It's a tsunami- over and done with. Hopefully they will feel some regrets later for some of the things they said-- good luck.

S- you must send in your dna for testing- from that test you can join a matching dna project- if you agree to share data, you can see matches and communicate with each other- you can join International projects , too.. A guy will need to do a 37 marker test in order to find male relatives who are related to you (and same last names) within the last 250 years- a 100% match on a 12 marker only means you could be related going back 1000 years or more- before the creation of surnames. The tests for maternal dna is not so accurate- I have hundreds and hundreds of matches to my maternal dna, but they could be a match to a common ancestor going back many thousands of years, because that dna doesn't mutate very fast in comparison to Y dna.
