  as usual, the gb has created an irreconcilable paradox.

  if someone marries someone in the situation you described, then, according to the gb they are committing adultery, and thus in an adulterous marriage.

  talking about 1975 and the push by the society got me to looking at some older quotes.

  this one here really bugged me and still pisses me off when i read it.

  in this instance they are telling you to forget about jesus and listen to the society.

  greetings to you, mark, may you have peace.. before you decide to become a witness, dear brother, may i share this with you perhaps for your consideration.. you seem to have a 'desire' for truth which has led you to consider becoming one of jehovah's witnesses.

  if this is true, i would like to share the follwonig with you and if you have a bible... you may look them up and 'listen' to what the spirit says to you as you read them:.

  Mindless Meetings and Bored Dubs

  alright, so i am sitting at the meeting last week and i hear that very typical repetitive announcement.

  i start to look around and i realize that it is the same people every week who go to the back to sit in the second school.

  i was talking with someone i work with who is a jw and suggested i might look into it.

  ladies and gents, how are you all?

  great...now thats out of the way, i need you guys to do me a favour, i have been reading up on jws for the past three/four years, the people are pleasent enough and live fairly ordinary lives....some could say boring....(lets call up susie for a game of cards!!!!!

  i come here with a problem....my problem is simple and clear cut, it could even be summed up in one word..."hope".
