and most importantly, as we all know that this education in the life saving work is second to none, have you placed this grand accomplishment on your resume?
i went in baldwinsville ny around 1988.
Duh, read your original post as bethel not pioneer school. Must be getting old. I'll leave the post up though, since thinking about it still makes me laugh... :)

They weren't accepting women when I graduated from highschool in the late 70s. It was a big disappointment to me mainly because the reason they gave was that women were going back to bethel, and marrying the men and then leaving with them. LOL
Probably for the best, anyhow.

i think i still might have a complex.
so i'm gonna tell my story so you can all laugh at me.

And to all you ladies I ask: Are JW girls different than "worldly" girls?
I cannot speak for worldly girls, but as a JW girl, I was pretty mixed up. If you experienced meanness, it may be that the jw girls you approached just did not know how to behave as ladies. I didn't... Never took money from anyone though, was just kind of standoffish.

growing up in the jw religion and having a dad who was an elder, i remember how controlling they were.
i find it amazing now just how much of my childhood i missed out on.
i couldn't watch alot of t.v.
We were not allowed to shut our bedroom doors. We could not lock the bathroom door. It was really crazy.
Hear you big time on that line. Funny the similarities. Wonder what they were afraid I'd be doing all alone in the bathroom? Mom was a control freak when she was conscious, Dad was always working or calling on congregational weaklings.

i am finding the more i research and the more i ask questions (mostly of my mother, an ex jw), i seem to find i am remembering more about the past than i used to.
i can't help but wonder if anyone else has experienced this, and does it get more intense as you continue to learn more about the past?
most of mine are from when i was young, 15 and younger, is that normal?
Yes, and not many good memories usually surface, unfortunately.

woman sentenced in dog attack case.
by heather leskanic .
the clarion county resident was ordered to serve six days in jail in connection with the death of her granddaughter.. clarion - a 62-year-old lucinda area woman was sentenced wednesday for her negligent conduct related to the 2003 dog-mauling death of her young granddaughter.
This is a travesty of justice. A pair of rottweilers vs a toddler, she never had a chance. Granny needs to do time.

but weirdly enough, i've been mentioned here before, when one of my posts at lj (about whether or not subjection to the organization is relative) caused a bit of a war among ljjws.
i found this forum googling my username, actually.
i was wondering if anyone here has any theories as to why it is that, the more meetings we skip, the less we want to go.
Welcome.
I was wondering if anyone here has any theories as to why it is that, the more meetings we skip, the less we want to go.
I believe it is because the less we go, the more we see clearly. With a clear head, we begin to make up our own minds on the teachings, and most of us just chuck em.
