  "as part of sweeping "economic restructuring" implemented by the bush administration in iraq, iraqi farmers will no longer be permitted to save their seeds, which include seeds the iraqis themselves have developed over hundreds of years.

  instead, they will be forced to buy seeds from us corporations.

  that is because in recent years, transnational corporations have patented and now own many seed varieties originated or developed by indigenous peoples.

  straight away told im not ready for baptism, not with the amount and depth of questions, that ive been warned about these sites and that apostates will do anything to knock jws.

  proving its the true religion bec the bible says it will happen (shows me scriptures).

  also told it doesnt happen with any other religious group - usually people just quietly leave and make no fuss - further proof that ths is the true religion.. i asked about all the dates where predictions were made, eg 1914, 1975. was told there were some articles loosly talking the 'possibility' of something happening, but the wt never said it definitely would - how could it, these are just ordinary men, not profits.

  Holly,

  Sorry you are feeling dumped, but so glad that you found out the truth about the 'blind faith requirement' of the witnesses. If you had found out after being baptized you may have been DF'd for your questions and you'd have an entire group of people in your town treating you like crap. At this point, you can escape without quite so much trauma.

  It was an utterly distasteful and insensitive thing for someone of Harry's status to do.

  Understandably, he is young and was just trying to be funny, but I think that it is good he is being shown how his actions have embarrassed his family.

  I can't imagine that the Queen was too pleased.

  About 1 1/2 hours. I remember being so worked up about it, and that the conversation was in regards to the 'false prophet', but couldn't tell you much else.

  Funny how you can be so swept up in a conversation and determined to 'save' a person, and yet a few years later not be able to remember anything about the conversation other than the topic.

  How long since you been out in service?

  it must be about 13 years since i went out in service.

  about 15 years since i went out a couple times a month, and about 18 years since i went at least once a week.. i just can't imagine going from door to door anymore.

  but to think that we all did it for quite awhile.

  Yeah, I read this. It's really a shame that so many people do not cherish that which so many have died trying to preserve. Talking to many college grads in my line of work, it strikes me how much emphasis they place on money/career, and are completely ignorant of history and or culture.

  Freedom of speech will only continue as long as people are willing to raise hell when it is curtailed. Given time and enough apathy, it could very well go away...
