  anyone here master the art of pressing in the doorbell without really pressing it?

  how about knocking where it seems loud on the outside, but you know it can't be heard on the inside.

  or standing at a door for up to 5 minutes when you know nobody was there.

  We did the 'north side' call then the 'south side' call then break. Repeat east/west ect makes for a nice day of radio and fast food. We also would bring bottle rockets and other fireworks with us!!!!!!! Worked great till we burnt a hole in the backseat and in one guys dress shirt!!!!! Just so you know a bottle rocket will go 32mph, JUST ROLL UP THE WINDOWS WHILE TESTING THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was our teenage mistake. LMAO

  it's been really inspiring looking at the many posts and threads on this board, and i've enjoyed posting quite a few myself.

  regretfully, i feel that it's time to move on in my quest for inner peace, but i will always cherish meeting many friends along the way who support me.

  i've had both bad times and good times here, but it was time well spent.

  Are the Society planning a 'Pledge of Allegiance'? IT MAY BE TRUE!

  i've just learned from a trusted contact at thewatchtower.org 'norris', that the society intend to put a resolution to the congregations shortly - though definately not at the 'special talk' meeting next month.. here's the scary bit.

  this resolution needs to be responded to by all baptized jehovah's witnesses.

  we have not been able to get hold of the wording but have been informed it is intended to provide the brotherhood with the opportunity to affirm their loyalty to jehovah and his organization.

  NOT FUNNY, I had several faders I know ready to come on the board with the om book info we had ahead of time. Then I told them about this now I have to say no it was a joke "haha" sorry, this was in poor taste. Maybe you could post a new joke on your mom passing away, at this point I might find more laughter in it.

  Faith tells us a ball thrown in the air will fall, science tells us why. Faith tells us to belive in a god, and science has yet to tell us why. Science is a culmination of all the facts, the bible is speculation with limited facts, so the two will always have their differences. It just depends on the person if they prefer science OR fiction. So yes science is a real threat to jws and religion in general, 607bce, blood fractions, ect.

  Fighting experience?

  the other night our son confessed that he had been in an after-school fight last friday.

  some small kid was irritated with my son (who's nearly 14) and called on the services of a big friend to beat up my son.

  (i actually saw the fight (sort of) as i drove past the school that day to go do errands, and pondered on whether i should stop... i didn't... because i actually wasn't sure it was a fight; it was a lot of kids in a loose crowd).

  Let them go, I never won a fight till I was almost out of high school. The worst was one I was 'almost' going to win till my mom broke it up (in this case the kid whose mom breaks it up is the automatic loser no matter what ) then in front of 10 other kids offered to sew the kids jacket back together!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say I could not look anyone in the eye at school for weeks 'mommas boy' was a little embarassed! Dad the PO finially told me I could start defending myself as I looked like I was on the bad end of a Tyson fight about one meeting a month. My advice is let them fight at school, probably no weapons and it will not get to far. The ones to watch are the set time in the back alley fights tell him never to go one of these most times turn out bad.

  Well mine was not what was said or done to me but what I did to another as a MS. Some of my best friends father was disfellowshiped, he had been the greatest guy in the world to me. He had a pool and a pool table so the congragation kids would have somewhere to hang out at. He also would take us out on his boat, just a real friendly good person. He was the type to meet you with a handshake and pull you into a hug! Well he had got in some trouble and was dfed, then I saw him at the bank he came and got in line right behind me. Being just appointed a MS I was as pompous and arrogant as they come. I turned to him looked him up and down slowly raised my nose and turned my head in disgust with out a word. As I walked to the counter I realize he left the bank, at the time I felt justified and rightious. Now having been dfed I realize the horrible action I took. I was never able to apoligize to him, he was re about the same time I was dfed. So if you ever read this Don Iam very sorry I had no right to treat someone as nice as you like that.
