mnb77 ....... The justice you speak of is condeming children for their parents sins??? Picture yourself as a all powerfull being, you think you might be able to come up with a better answer than killing off people? And the point on praise and worship, God put us in this situation right? he could stop it, but he lets it continue. He then demands worship from our sad state that he has imposed on us, because he then offers a way out. Justice is not giving imperfect direction to a imperfect people, give us a dam pillar of fire then I will be the first one in the door.

I just recently tried to read the bible through again, this time with a clear non jw view. I made it to Psalms, how can a 'loving god kill nations of women and children? This really disillusioned me to the concept of worshiping a 'thing' that can just destroy people at a whim. The only thing reading the bible did for me was further convince me that god if he does exist is not worthy of my praise.

Elders can be removed but not otherwise disiplined for a number of reasons. I knew of the following.
1. Acused of abuse by wife, he later, much later was dfed for it.
2. Did not properly secure confidential files ( his teenage stepdaughter got into them).
