I've often seen this book floating around on the internet, but with all these personal recommendations I shall now go & order myself a copy :) x

ESSENTIAL READING - Steven Hassan "Combating Cult Mind Control"
by jwfacts ini have done a lot of reading on the internet about mind control, which often summarised hassan's book, but nothing came close to how interesting his book is.
i was taking notes until i realised that every page said something that applied to the watchtower society.
what makes the book effective is that hassan was a moonie, so it does not seem to be an attack on the wts, so can be read by a jw without being offensive to them.. even if you are no longer a jw this is essential reading to help you get over the experience.

Atheists Worst Nightmare!
by SickofLies ini don't know how i ever doubted that intelligent design was correct!
after watching a video involving kirk cameron, i now see the error of my ways, and will be tithing 50% of my income to the church every month out of contrition.. .
you want to know the mighty argument that changed my views, and my life, forever?

You realise we have now completely ruined any nice memories froggy had of her baptism. From now on when she thinks back to that day she'll remember how some brother was having a fiddle at her expense
lol, that's all too funny hehe!
the way i see it at least someone got something out of the whole thing! lol That bro was Doug someone, he was a good mate back then, but lived on a cattle property out whoopwhoop, I was probably the first woman he'd seen in months, and one in a bathing suit may have just been a little too much hehe...
thanks for the new memories, it's great to be able to laugh at these things
argh yes DB bro, it's the murkiest of ponds Frogs ever splashed in...x

How does one write to the "societey" for an annulment?
by Frog ini've decided it's worth a try...i don't want to regret feeling that i once again acknowledged their control over my life, so i intend to draft it in such a way as i'm telling them, but still if they should honour it then that would be a bonus.... but, i'm not sure who to address the request to at the sydney headquaters?
has anyone had success with an annulment request before?
any suggestions, regrets, things to be warey of?.
