I just assumed the GB must be on some massivoso trip when they write all their ficticious literature, perhaps it's a power trip rather than an acid trip?...at least with the latter you're only stuffing up your own brains chemistry.

Frog's first semester Uni results are in!

i realise this is probably quite a dull subject for all my friends here, but this frog can't help but to share her happy moment, cause she's just bursting at the seams with self-congratulatory praise!.

i just logged on to the uni website to get my long awaited semester one results.

i knew i had done well with my essays, pop quizzes etc throughout the semester, but i attributed that to the fact that i had weeks to fine tune my writing and research.

lol Katie, sadly not got much time for getting into any of that good stuff! My only crime is filling my head with the philosophies of men/women!

Dad's and daughters...

lately i've been feeling incredibly frustrated by the relationship i have with a few members of my family who aren't attached to the org, or just hanging in by a thread.

my dad is one such person, love him to bits, but he really gives me the sh*ts with his poor me act grrrr.

i just get tired of always being the one who calls, who stays in contact, who visits etc.

Oh Katie, you crack me up! I don't really want to start getting visuals of my dad 'inseminating' my mum, yeash. My "dad" too is one of those pretty useless creatures, but all the same if I'm going to continue being related to him, it's nice to see he makes some effort now and again.

If you're gonna get yourself a new daddy, I'd suggest one of the sugardaddy variety preferably with Sean Connery of ten years ago looksfrog

Monotheism is a technology, a tool, to bring pre-civilized tribespeople and caste-segregated primitives into the collectives necessary to develop the post-hive, post-terrestrial technologies.

I agree with Dr Leahry wholeheartedly...this has been my theory for some time, although the Dr puts it far more succinctly than I ever could:)

my mum used to always tell me i should model myself on the clothes that we see people wearing in the wtbts propoganda.

have you seen the clothes those people wear?

errrk i mean there wasn't a bit of fashion about them.

Doesn't seem to have loaded up properly, I only get a red cross!

Touche' on the dweeb dub clothes at school...I kept my highschool skirt from grade 8 (despite having new ones made every year;) and wore it the whole way through, which as you can imagine got much shorter as I got taller! Don't know if mum ever really noticed in the school photo's lol!

Thanks Talesin...and I'm really not that gifted, and it seems you don't have to be...just have to be a practical thinker, dedicated and deeply interested in your field of study

you will Dustin my friend, I'm sure of it! You've got all the drive, and that's all it takes. I think we're at a serious advantage with a few extra years under our belts. I'm far more clearer on my interests, goals and objectives now that I've had a chance to really eperience the world. "Mature-age" students are at a serious advantage on account of their dedication, and having had longer to master the English language to use in their thesis. Good luck matey!!

Wow HL, I can understand why you might be a bit taken back by that one! Sounds like he's trying to reach you on your level, which I guess is a good thing.

Thanks Dustin matey, yeah you're definitely right, after a while all the hard work does start to pay off. Be patient with your dad, my dad has shocked me in many ways. Not to say things are perfect, but with times our relationship has improved dramatically. I always thought it would be my mum to pull through, but it's been my dad the whole way. It's nice to be surprised in this way:)
