by maidden inbut weirdly enough, i've been mentioned here before, when one of my posts at lj (about whether or not subjection to the organization is relative) caused a bit of a war among ljjws.
i found this forum googling my username, actually.
i was wondering if anyone here has any theories as to why it is that, the more meetings we skip, the less we want to go.

Were your parents control freaks?
by Dustin ingrowing up in the jw religion and having a dad who was an elder, i remember how controlling they were.
i find it amazing now just how much of my childhood i missed out on.
i couldn't watch alot of t.v.

Things do happen to people. Death, lost of loved ones, or being reproved whatever but i see it as a stepping stone to learn and to know that jehovah has put out those princapls and commandments for us to benifit. It is our heart condition. What do we allow in our hearts; or not allow.

I'm not breaking any rule, it's probably not encouraged.

Well, if you think like that then why believe in the bible iether. It was imperfect men who wrote it. Jehovah is an organized God and would only have one truth. I believe by the evidence that I do have the truth. No other religion can answer questions or even withstand the bible. The organization have founded this truth and as we go on we learn more and more about it.

hi right back at ya. I'm somewhat nervous you know putting my cents worth out there. It seems to me, that at first i didn't see, there are a lot here who are quite bitter about the organization. It is what jehoavh uses to accomplish his will. Poeple think that Jehovah witnesses are this snobby think they know it all group of people. lol I love the organization, dosen't mean that we are perfect. We don't publisize that we are. If that was the case why would we need the encouragement , the regular attendence of meeting and a personal study. So many people let others stumble them. It's really sad. There have been recent watchower studys that discuss that very issue. I really do appreciat your hello.
I had gone to a convention in alaska and during the prayer I went over to a sister i didn't know and held her hand. We should look past our differences and faults so that we can maitian our love for one another and our relationship with Jehovah God. I'll give sisterly hello

I would have to be honest, when i was young, for me taking the time to do study or to sit there at the meetings when i didn't want too was somewhat of a irritate. But now I am thankful, I only regret not making my step for babtizm any sooner. When you have Jehovah first in you life and strive to love him and hope and put faith in his promises nothing else matters, to me.
