  i have just re-read a couple of my postings - no, the apolgy is not for being narcissistic!.

  i hope i have made it clear throughout my postings here that while never a jw, i have intense sympathy, empathy and concern for those who have suffered, and continue to suffer, from this bullying and corrupt (imho) quasi-religion.

  i hope that on occasion an 'outsider's' view may be helpful.. .

  i gave mine back a week or two after i quit going but i wish i had it back now.

  i feel a little mischievous, eh, eh.

  if you still have it or if you don't, is there anything special you would like to do with it?

  High speed internet...need advice you guys

  im moving into my own place come april 1 (yay!!!!

  ) and in this house we pay over $100 a month between comcast tv cable and high speed internet.

  what do you guys use?

  example: have a cable tv: if you get a land line just for dial up or just dsl the service charge/taxes/fees/etc will add up to more than you are paying for cable+internet. cable/internet bundle is cheaper/close to the same

  if you have a land line and get satcom internet ie wildblue etc. the charges will be +/= if you just had dsl bundle on your land line

  etc

  ok

  lets cut through the BS.

  Are you using the land line service? if so dial up will prolly be cheapest.

  Need faster? DSL/land line bundle.

  Not using the land line but have cable tv? Cable tv/internet bundle.

  etc... etc.

  all wooden ships leak to some extent, so what did noah do about the accumulation of water?.

  a bilge pump would have been essential.. did the noah's ark writer really know or have any experience about the construction of large wooden ships?.

  god used his magic. just like he used it to help him get the wood. gather animals. keep his wife happy. seal the door. make it rain enough to cover the earth. keep the salt water animals from dying. get rid of all that shit. land them on the mountains of arrat. get the kangas back to austarlia. etc...etc... etc.

  i read a lot of the topics and subjects in this forum, and can't help but to ask, if the witnesses ideas are not the way, then which way is?.

  i was a witness for over 25 years and have been out of the organization for over 3 years now.

  yet, i have a hard time seeing anyone else's way as the right way to go.

  The JW way is a very popular way of obtaining order and a kind of peace but many of us have come to the conclusion that that way of doing things is totalitarian

  Yep JW peace is like the kind of peace imposed by a totalitarian police state. People are people but the beautiful chaotic part of humanity is taken away by fear. Its kinda like a psychological lobotomy.

  Mary, believe what you want. Live like YOU want. Just dont believe/live out of fear.
