  probably been discussed before but, we were just checking the monthly reports in this years km's and started looking back over the last few years to then getting out 1994/5 km's to find that basically in our country the number of publishers is about the same each year.

  a couple of peaks and troughs, but basically the same.

  "by their fruits you will recognize them" what about the lack of fruit?

  Yes I know there is some growth in th 3rd world. But new witnesses means more preachers, means more growth. That just isnt happening. We are in negative growth, esp when you consider that the numbers have been artificailly inflated with the 15minute pubs and the great reactivate the lost sheep campaign.

  It could be to prophesy, but it could also be to spread Jehovah's message.

  You are 100% right on that a prophets job is not just to tell the future, but when they call themselves a prophet (ref: scully) and then act like one, (1914, 25, 75, 94, 2001) and they dont come true, that is a false prophet.

  By what you say, there is no such thing as a false prophet, because all you have to do is deny the seer aspect of the job. Then you can make predictions all day and not be guilty of false prophecy.

  Poor poor chinese people, too bad they dont get a chance at life.

  So sword, riddle me this Is growth a proof of jehovahs favor? What then is decline? Where does the bible say we should expect the closness of the end to be a factor in slowing down? Doesnt it say he will speed it up?

  This is ridiculous.

  Last week I caught (with mineralogist?s help) them quoting from Allen Brumwells sermon. This week here they are quoting from someone else?s. Again no scholarly references, they just call him a bible commentator. Bull crap!

  They know any time they use the term ?a bible reference work? = Insight on the scripture and ?one bible commentator? = GB member. I only wish I?d found this in time for the study. They have no balls to put the reference because why would the FDS, gods sole channel, need to quote from some dude who is about to be destroyed any day now? Those Caulk Suckers. I hope bethel is looking at this post. We?re on to you!

  it's not as bad as ipalfatn i & ii, but still its based on the idea of 607 and 1914.. how have any of you ex or current book study overseers handled this problem.

  i'd like not to conduct but thats not really an option.

  The Literature Counter

  at your congregation did it ever seem that the literature counter had nothing in stock except for a lot of the basics (armageddon revelation book, evolution book, brochures, cheap nwts, and what's being studied).

  what made me think of this was someone saying posting about how the elders wait until the last minute to hand out the kms.

  do you think they do the same kind of thing with the literature?.

  There is kind of a new proceedure in place now.

  Each congo no longer takes care of its own order and liturature stock. Rather all the stock is combined and a coordinating congo is chosen. This coordinating congo is in charge of actually stocking and placing the order. One hall-One order regardless of how many congos or languages use the hall. The SO of the coordinating congo checks off on the order.

  The direction from the branch is not to stock more than 3 months supply of any one item. I can see some anal SO in a coordiating congo who looks at the inventory and doesnt stock any pulications that dont move with in 3 months making it a control stock item in a sense.

  going through sheer hell.

  Yep, just had kind of an unpleasant conversation with my wife, she keeps bringing it up but then wont listen. I really cant blame her, she is a little upset because she's in the position of feeling like she must tell the other elders, but she's not doing it and it bothers her conscience. She wants me to recant and just go back to the way it was...

  I dont think its gonna last too much longer. Crap man I dunno.
