OMG - we got friend in need and defd - all we need now is witness defence! Is this a take over bid??
come on defd, why you here? you dont answer questions directly - so you obviously arent here to witness. You enjoy playing the board - i think you just want to beat me to senior
Why would anyone who is a witness come on here and not really witness? Come on I want to hear you witness, bec I still believe the JWs are right in their beliefs. so will you witness to me ?????

next time you are walking down your main street....or go to your favorite store or restaurant...or go to your doctor or dentist.....or to your kid's school or city hall or the local golf course....or maybe your favorite vacation spot...... think like a guy/gal in a wheelchair for a minute............. is your town accessible ?
are there ramps or steps into buildings ?
if you had to use a wheelchair...could you do the things you do now ?.
rwagoner - will pm you later this eve or tmw - got to go to work soon. im rather a long way from you in Nottingham, England. I am a deaf awareness trainer and also teach British sign language and have the necessary qualifications from the Nationally recognised bodies here in England. I train company staff in better communication skills with deaf and hard of hearing people, i teach sign language all over the country, to kids and adults alike, i advise companies what changes they need to make to keep up with the current Disability Discrimination Act, and what technical equipment is advisable to provide equal access. Most of my knowledge is in relation to deaf people. Bec I am profoundly deaf, i always work using communication support, an interpreter or speech to text reporter.
bi for now

i cant imagine life in a wheelchair, i really cant. but then i am profoundly deaf, and most people cant imagine life being deaf.
locally things are pretty good. there are plenty of free taxi services for wheelchair users, and you can get on a bus with a wheelchair. most of the larger service providers are hot on equal access. you get reduced entrance to places like cinemas, or you can take some one in 'a carer' for free.
there is a very small shop on the corner of my road, just a one man business, but he has a ramp, a loop system and delivery service of goods to your home.
all in all, still room for improvement, but looking good. i work as a trainer, teaching companies about the laws of equal access, and most of them are doing these things, and making changes where necessary.

has it ever happened to you, something so dispicable you would rather go to your grave, not having forgiven someone a wrong they had done you, hopeful that god would sort it out in the end?
mind you, i know things like child molestation, rape and murder are things for which it is difficult, if not impossible, to be forgiving of.
that being said, where does one draw the line on forgiveness?
I think forgiveness is necessary for your own sanity. im not saying its easy, depending on the issue. my ex husband has never forgiven me for leaving him 8 years ago. in 8 years he hasnt managed to move on, hes filled with bitterness and hatred and is one of the most negative people i have ever known. im surprised he hasnt given himself a heart attack.
yes, having read some of your posts, it seems easier to forgive than forget. i can remember everyone who owes me money and i can feel smug that they will never have the guts to ask me again bec i have that 'knowing look' whenever the subject of money is risen
blood transfusions kill patients, say doctors .
(picture: your health daily logo) february 11 1999
london (nyt syndicate) -- blood transfusions given routinely to tens of thousands of critically ill patients may be killing them, doctors have found.
and exercise is bad for you too!!!! Some professor has written a book, with his daughter i believe, who says that moderate gentle exercise is fine, but being super fit is deterimental to health. they reckon that we only have a certain amount of life energy, and if we go mad exercising we use it up to quick.
oh thats good news, im gonna live till 150. just gonna grab my breakfast and go back to bed - dont want work myself into an early grave
on the issue of blood, i have never taken it and never would, neither would i have an organ transplant. ive seen someone die from contaminated blood. ok so now its screened. but whats in there that might not show up for a few months. suppose some new disease arises, but cant be detected for say 1 year, while it mutates. i wouldnt take any risks. and ive also seen the bad results of organ transplants. leave well alone as far as im concerned. when my time is up, its up.
