it broke my heart to read about someone having to paying court fee's after wining a sexual abuse case against the wtbts.

she ended up winning 5,000 dollars but has to pay 220000 dollars in court feee to wtbts and for her lawyer.

I'm looking for the Watchtower policy where it says: "In all cases of possible child abuse, the Elders in the congregation should first contact the local authorities." I know it's there somewhere, must have misplaced it.
All these naughty apostates who are lying when they say that the POLICY is to first call the watchtower law department, and to be careful what the local Elders should say because of costly law suits, need to SEE that policy to shut them up. As the Watchtower policy on reporting child abuse is the best on the planet, they can't be correct, can they?
So, if you could help me locate the POLICY where it says: "In all cases of possible child abuse, the Elders in the congregation should first contact the local authorities." I'd very must appreciate it.

Running my first 5K - Want to come and cheer me on? :D

on saturday, september 9th, 2006 i will be running my first 5k (3 miles) race in the freedom run (www.freedomrun.com).

we start running at 8:30 am.

there will also be a 1 mile walk for anyone who wants to support the cause but is not up to running three miles.

what I find interesting in the box below is when they say " Jehovah's Witnesses base their religious teachings solely on Gods Word" and then make a reference to page 18, "Does science contradict the Genesis account?" A reading of that section shows that everything they say in defence, and more importantly, in distinguishing themselves from fundamentalists, is NOT written in Gods Word.
For example: p.19 "..before the first creative"day" started, light from the sun was somehow prevented from reaching the earth's surface, possibly by think cloud.(Job 38:9)."
