Jethro: Demonstrated when and where?
Einstein mathematically proved that time is relative to the observer and speed. His theory was then demonstrated with atomic clocks and jets.

A SIMPLE EXPLANATION of why TIME TRAVEL doesn't work
by Terry inenergy and matter are neither created nor destroyed.. consequently, the building blocks of existence are actually finite parts.. to create things in "tomorrow" which are new, something has to be dismantled to leave spare parts for the new thing.. the old thing deteriorates, (dies) and the parts become the new thing.. time travel requires going to a place where all of today's parts are completely dismanteled and are being used (or not) to maintain yesterday/tomorrow.. ever see the film primer?.
said slightly differently...... you go into a room.

Time travel both forward and backward in time is possible, and has been demonstrated.
The bummer is it only works in one direction per observer.
If you travel fast enough, your time slows down relative to someone standing still.
So let say you step into a superfast vehicle and start wizzing around at superfast speeds leaving some person behind.
When you return to the person, and stop moving so fast, your time movement is back in sync with the other person. If your had set both your watches to the same time before you set off, when you returned your watch will report a time BEFORE the persons watch you left, even though you would have OBSERVED perfect time motion on your watch while you were zooming around.
Therefore, we can say, that when you step off your superfast vehicle, you will be stepping into the future.
OR
If the person you left could join you sometime later in your superfast vehicle, he would be stepping into the past.

How the Society can almost drop 1914 and STILL retain their authority
by yaddayadda inthey can have the best of both worlds.
it would be quite easy, with a bit of imagination, for them to simply adopt an interpretation of scripture similar to the seventh day adventists belief about 1843. the sda's teach that since 1843 jesus has been engaged in an 'investigative judgment' upon christendom, having entered into the 'inner sanctuary' of heaven (or something to that effect) on that date to receive special authority to do that.
jesus since then has used the sda's as his favoured group of christians.

How about this:
Keep the 1914 date but change the 3 1/2 years inspection to ...
Days for years of MONTHS
Yah, no kidding.
3.5 X 356 = 1,277.5
Convert to months
1,277.5 / 12 = 106.4
Therefore
1914 + 106.4 = 2020.4
Lookout, The Big A is on it's why !!!!!

Has the Watchtower changed its mind or did I miss something?
by Gill inin all my years as a jw, my understanding had been of wtbts belief, was that the 144 000 were resurrected in a 'twinkling of an eye' and never actually experienced death.. did i understand wrongly or has the watchtower changed its mind......again?.
january 1st watchtower, page 27 .
when does the first resurrection occur?

BINGO!!!!!!!
I've just worked it out:
Insight Book: The 24 elders are always shown in their ultimate position around Jehovah’s throne, installed as kings and priests in the heavens. They symbolize the entire group of 144,000 in their heavenly position, although at present a small remnant of these is still on earth.
If the 24 Elders are "ALWAYS" show in their ultimate position, how come they are shown as directing while there are still some on the Earth. They would be depicted and the 144,000.
The quote I showed from the Insight Book basically says:
When in Rev it says 24 Elders read :: 144,000 COMPLETED in Heaven
When in Rev is says 144,000 read :: 144,000 some now in Heaven, some still on Earth ("the remnant"(TM))

Maybe I'm not reading correctly, but I see nothing new here.
: Reasonably then, anointed ones who die before Armageddon are resurected sometime between 1914 and Armageddon.'
This has always been said. If you are of the "anointed class"(TM) and die before the "Big A" then you go to heaven after Jesus removes Satan.
revealed to God's anointed servants on earth in 1935. If oneo f the 24 elders was used to convey that important truth, he would have had to be resurrected to heaven by 1935 at the latest. That would indicate that the first resurrection began sometime between 1914 and 1935. '
This is the same as before.
What am I missing? Can someone explain why this may be "new light"(TM)
The Insight Book puts it like this (Cp 29, P.201):
10 How can the 144,000 sing “before” the elders, since the 24 elders are the 144,000 in their glorious heavenly position? Early in the Lord’s day, those “dead in union with Christ” were resurrected as spirit creatures. Thus, faithful anointed Christians who have conquered are now in heaven, symbolically fulfilling functions comparable to those of 24 divisions of priestly elders. They are included in the vision of Jehovah’s heavenly organization. (1 Thessalonians 4:15, 16; 1 Chronicles 24:1-18; Revelation 4:4; 6:11) The remnant of the 144,000 still on earth are therefore singing the new song before, or in the sight of, their resurrected brothers in heaven.
11 At this point we might also ask: Why is it that these anointed overcomers are referred to as the symbolic 24 elders as well as the 144,000? It is because Revelation views this one group from two different standpoints. The 24 elders are always shown in their ultimate position around Jehovah’s throne, installed as kings and priests in the heavens. They symbolize the entire group of 144,000 in their heavenly position, although at present a small remnant of these is still on earth. (Revelation 4:4, 10; 5:5-14; 7:11-13; 11:16-18) Revelation chapter 7, however, focuses on the 144,000 as brought forth from humankind, and it stresses Jehovah’s grand purpose to seal the complete number of individual spiritual Israelites and to grant salvation to an unnumbered great crowd. Revelation chapter 14 provides a picture confirming that the complete Kingdom class of 144,000 individual overcomers will be assembled with the Lamb on Mount Zion. The qualifications to be met in order to be numbered with the 144,000 are also made known, as we shall now see.

Does Anyone Really Believe They Can Knock Out The Watchtower???
by minimus ini think it will be around for years to come.
i do think that we can put the word out about this cult and help people get out or not join them in the first place.
but we'll never obliterate them, in my opinion.

To be honest, I don't really care if they go away or don't. They are a small American protestant / fundamentalist cult, with a broken publishing business. There are quite a few out there. For me, I will be satisfied when they drop the blood issue, so followers don't die needlessly. And, most importantly, they need to drop the two witness rule and report ALL suspected abuse cases to the authorities. Until they do these two things, I'll do my best to encourage them. Once they're gone, I think I'll finally rest.
just my 2 cents.
