  Smoking

  why do we continue to do it even tho we know its bad for us?????

  i gave up bout a year ago but still have one occasionally i dont even know if i enjoy it all that much but i still do it.

  ive seen three of my family members die as a result of smoking and yet i light another one up!

  At first i started coz it was the social thing to do my friend was a big smoker so when i began fading i thought why not give it a go. Then i was hooked I became a chain smoker at one stage i brought a packet and finshed it within 2 hours...then i got really bad asthma and decided to quit. Two weeks ago it was my engagement party and one particular person stressed me out and all my friends were smoking so hey i smoked bout 10 cigarettes and have smoked more this week than i have in past year. There are all the ads now in Australia bout epheseima and how most smokers have and it scares me coz thats what my pop died of and its not nice. I dont want to wake up one day when im sick and think "wish i had of never smoked" and yet i dont stop. es

  Twin Towers\ Armageddon

  hey all this may have been mentioned before.

  i was thinking last night about when the twin towers fell and i remembered thinking how close armageddon must be did anybody else think similar....i guess it would only apply to those who were still in the borg at the time es

  yeah i think it made many people a little worried the attendance at the next meeting was the most it had ever been hehe its kind of funny now looking back all the inactive ones turned up for the meeting. es

  Star Wars, the Dubs, and religious delusion

  i just watched the new star wars flick (awesome) and noticed a lot of parallel's in it with the jay-dub world view.

  a lot of my old witness friends are hard core fans, and i think that if they ever were to remember me and and make that spiritual connection in the movie, they would liken me to aniken skywalker falling to the dark side and becoming the evil sneering apostate, darth vadar.

  i probably would have thought something retarded like that when i was a dumb ass witness.

  it still amazes me how lacking jw's are in social decorum.

  i had 4 children while in the b0rg and not once did anyone say congrats.

  I actually did and i got quite a few presents from various brothers and sister...they even announced my sons birth from the platform !!!! es

  so i am being announced (the new way) as being df'd tonight.

  me and my ex--who wont show up so i will be there all alone.

  i am still unsure of how i feel about the whole thing.

  I guess if you decide that the truth is still for you then perhaps goin is better even tho it will be hard you will have to face it sooner of later.   Is this fair?

  ok so some of you may know that i just divorced a man who has been a deadbeat dad to our son from the very start.

  i left him shortly after we found out i was prego for several reasons including his not desiring to be there for me as i was scared and newly pregnant, he would rather continue to be an alchoholic loser, out all the time to the bars or in some chics bed or whatever.

  so he has not paid any of the ordered child support (my son is almost a year old) he never showed up to any of our divorce hearings.
