My father(elder) wont let me borrow music!

hey there everyone,.

well my saga continues.... for those who don't know i am getting married this being my second time round, only difference is im marrying a non believer.

i have been fading from the truth for bout 3 years now.. anyway just a short time ago my father (elder) suggested that they look after my son so my new husband and i could have a honeymoon.

just once.. i was on the way home from the 1958 assembly at yankee stadium.

we were aboard the "arosa sun" and sailing from new york to plymouth, england.

the ship was pretty well 50 - 50 split between british and german.. when we arrived at plymouth, the british contingent disembarked whilst the germans stayed on board to continue on to bremerhaven.

What world scenario would make you go back?

whenever the world has a bit of a hiccup (like the y2k bug) people seem to be keen to pick up their religious feelings again.. are there any situations that might make you heed back through the kingdom hall doors again???

Elder in coma said Jehovah was testing him.

an elder in my parents congregation passed away last week of cancer.. i dont know if this sounds weird to anyone else, but about a month before he passed away, he went into a coma, he didnt know how long he was in it for.

but when he awoke he said to one of the c/o visiting him "jehovah was testing me, and tellin me i was going to be ok".

so once he awoken he wasnt afraid to die.. does this sound a little weird to anyone, i just feel if it had of been any wordly person saying that god was talkin to them in their coma that the jw's would say it was the demons?????.

Totally agree with all your comments, when mum was telling me I was even a little suprised that she believed it, coz I know for a fact if it was I telling the story about a worldly friend then I would have def gotten the demon story.

hi sweetp, no he wasnt one of the annointed or governing body, just an ordinary elder.

Thats exactly what they said to me, that if i wasnt baptized they could come to the wedding. But because I am then really I should know better. Its so @#$%. Anyway Im kinda glad they are not coming coz they ruined the first time i got married.
