WHOAH, so missing the point, bronzefist. Honey, what wrong he committed doesn't make him cool, it's the fact that the dubs don't have the right to judge him. I'm sorry you were wronged. ((((bronzefist))))) Anyone in this organization know the rules they have to play by. They aren't idiots. Funny how the burden of forgiving is ALWAYS put on the innocent one. The guilty party ALWAYS wants everyone to forgive and forget as soon as possible. brzfst

GUESS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME TODAY!
by Butters ini cannot believe what i saw happen today at the store.. i was at wal-mart browsing various electronics and digital cameras and such, when i heard behind me, "brother hardy, how are you!"...
first thing i thought was oh shit, they found me, and forgot my real name, or have me mixed up with someone else.. turns out, this disfellowshiped witness was there at the store and saw one of his congregation members there.
now i personally have never been part of the shunning process myself, but here i am, an ex-jw watching from the other aisle, a bunch of shit that i never thought i would see the lights of day on.... the brother, this "hardy" i guess, looked up at the man with a smile, but then when he realized who it was, he immediately frowned and started pushing his shopping cart away looking straight ahead and not even acknowledging the man... (here's where i jump in..).

Ok I had to clean up my language. Someone who frucks another woman..... cheating on his wife is a cool dude?
So I guess my ex and the ash-hole "brother" frucking her were cool too? My children and I are the fools in this? Thanks for letting me know that. Maybe you my kids and I can all get together and smoke a joint and laugh about it all.

A surprise at McDonald's
by TooBad TooSad inthis morning while i was waiting in line to get a cup of coffee a gentleman in a suit approched the counter and gave the girl behind the counter the new tract and said that he is taking part in a world wide distribution of an important message then handed the tract to the lady and walked away.
the girl looked puzzled and promptly put the tract in the garbage can without even looking at it.
the jw got in his car and took off down the road toward the interstate.. two obervations.

Could be he took out a business territory thereby overlooking customers. They get taken care of by those with customer territories.

Could anyone tell me how exactly Jehovah chose the WT society in 1919?
by Qcmbr inthis teaching is so unique and singular to the jws and fascinates me greatly but i have yet to get any jw answer how this choosing actually happened and instead i'm left with the same feeling of confusion that i get when i ask how someone would know they were anointed.
how did this process of selecting a correct church occur, how did they know it would happen in 1919 if they weren't pre-selected already, how did they know it was going to happen (bit rough on all the other churches who clearly didn't get a chance to spruce themselves up for 1919) and once the votes were cast and jehovah made up his mind how did he inform the contestants of the results?
do the jws claim any kind of divine affirmation of their selection at all?

Could anyone tell me how exactly Jehovah chose the WT society in 1919?"
Jehovah closed his eyes and threw a dart.Rather...Jehovah closed his eyes and BLEW a Fart...the brothers caught it.

Do You Think That You Might Turn Back To Jehovah?
by Englishman ini`ve never yet been snubbed by a jw.
the reason is that i refuse point blank to speak to them unless they speak to me first.
so, if i`m visiting my jw mum and jw visitors arrive which they often do i just smile, raise one eyebrow slightly, and look `em straight in the eye!.

Talk about deja vu......
Do You Think That You Might Turn Back To Jehovah? Are they still allowed to ask this question of you? If so I would have to reply with the question," If I leave a burning house would it be wise for me to return for my underwear?"

notice the high $$$$ furnishings.
there are several comments by current jws who find the video "upbuilding".

It always bothered me that out of one side of their faces the local elders were comparing the "humble" looking KHs to "worldly" elaborate churches, and then out of the other side of their faces defending the multi-million dollar "palaces" in NY. People would come back from Bethel visits with tears in their eyes......damn. All the while there were those within the congregation struggling to put food on their table. SOB's will never have a donation box in the hall for widows and orphans, those in need now have to "humble" themselves before the BOE to maybe get a few dollars.

Inactive/Faded JWs
by Chameleon inwhen the active jws come to your door, do you listen and take whatever they're offering, or do you not open the door?
when i move out (which i hope is soon), i'm planning to fade, but i am sure that my father (elder) will insist on knowing which cong.
i'm attending.

Personal choices apply. I never ignore that knock on my door, however I'm much older.... been around quite awhile. I refuse to live in fear of facing up to people I know how to deal with. The worst thing witnesses can come up against is someone with even more kindness then THEY are capable of. As for taking the literature....if you do that's a guarantee of a return visit...if you refuse and they know you're a fader (in a new area/congregation) that's a guarantee of a visit by at least an elder and servant.
I'm planning to fade, but I am sure that my father (elder) will insist on knowing which cong. I'm attending. What should I do then?
Unless you plan on telling him of your intention to fade you'll have to have your records sent to another congregation. Plus, he'll probably be checking in with the elders of that congregation and may even pay a visit to see how you're settling in. (This is all a guess not knowing your family's dsyfuctional level.)

The Warnings of the Diabolical things we were told about
by The wanderer in<!-- .style1 {font-family: arial, sans-serif} .style2 {font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; } .style3 { font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; } .style4 {color: #fba52c} .style5 {color: #484b17} .style6 {font-weight: bold} --> the warnings of the diabolical things we were told about every so often there would be a talk presented that featured some.
thing strange and unusual when an individual received the "truth.".
on certain occasions you would hear about how a person was.
