You?re spot on. It?s the way they can get away with it under the guise of religious freedom and cry persecution and apostasy when threatened that gets my goat. You go for it girl and vent it out for us all to hear. By the way do you have a loudhailer and know the location of several KH?s in you local area?

Name ways in which the Watchtower could make JW life more "appealing"?
by JH in.
jw meetings are so dull, and so alike, that one can only become bored in no time.
what changes would you have made in the meetings or after the meetings to make jw life more appealing and still christian?

I was always jealous of gospel choirs. Music and sinning that you can get behind.

I was of course not allowed to watch him seeing as how he ridiculed religion. He may of planted a few seeds of doubt.
I'll raise a glass to him tonight and may his God be with him.

To what extent did you let others know that you were a JW?
by JH ini remember the elders telling us that we had to let everyone know that we were a jw.
does your boss know that you're a jw?
does your teacher know?

Tried to hide it a every opportunity when I was growing up but at school that was impossible when I had to stand outside the hall for assemblies and did extra sports instead of RE. I went to a different school for 6th form and there I started to blend myself in, attending morning assembly. Around then I quit the dubs and school and never mentioned it again. At collage there was a kid in the same class as me who was a JW. Two years and I never mentioned once my upbringing to him. Now I'll happily tell people like when I'm asked if I'm going to my folks for xmas.

talesin:
I've yet to generalise on whether I think men deserve or even desire to be kept on their toes.

Do you make these types of sweeping generalizations often?
Or just about women?
Quite often and regarding many groups.

after I learned how to act like an asshole (yes it was just an act) they were beating my door down.
So what do you say about that one?
I think women say one thing and want another (no offence). I don't think women are unsure of what they do want, I think they just want to keep us on our toes.
