  does anyone remember this game from (i think) the early '80s?

  it's a role playing game of some sort that included some violent imagery or something.. i remember jws (and the media, come to think of it) making a big, big deal of it.

  something like it was demonized or made kids murder people.

  What smell takes you back to your dub days?

  old heated paint.

  let me explain.

  the old kh i went to would give off this strange smell of burnt paint ever time the central heating was put on.

  Fishy problem.

  so ive had this fish tank set up for a year and a bit and the stock has slowly dwindled through one thing or another, the main being a bad water change when the ph dropped and some rather nasty silver tipped tetras who seem to have bullied themselves down to two in number.

  current residences are a plecostomous, coolie loach and the two remaining tetras.

  on saturday i bought five lady guppies and two flying foxes.

  Sad E: Thanks for the freezer tip, I've never had to play executioner and was weighing up a strait flush against a quick squash.

  Scully: I'm a one tank hobbyist so he'll have to stay put. I'm keeping a close eye on the wound and it looks OK for now.

  Insomniac: I hope so too, I need to pay more attention to the water in future.

  Englishman : I'd love to have some discus and maybe a cichlid tank but if I was to pick a species to go for it would be fighting fish had one when I was a kid and even breed it, I think a nice sized compartmented tank will be in order soon. The local pet shop has just started stocking marine and I'm well tempted but I'll see how I manage with the basics first.

  So I’ve had this fish tank set up for a year and a bit and the stock has slowly dwindled through one thing or another, the main being a bad water change when the pH dropped and some rather nasty silver tipped tetras who seem to have bullied themselves down to two in number. Current residences are a plecostomous, coolie loach and the two remaining tetras. On Saturday I bought five lady guppies and two flying foxes. On Sunday morning one of the guppies tail was a bit chewed and low and behold the biggest bully tetra has broken his mouth in some way that he can close it and the poor bugger can’t eat. Now I don’t like the tetras but I can’t just sent them along the holy U-bend to the great aquarium in the sky. If he can’t eat he’ll go anyway and will either provide a hearty meal or be a harbourer of infection. If he gets better, which I doubt, then he’ll be back to his old ways. So should I let him go naturally whilst spoiling the look of my tank with his gammy mouth or flush him merrily on his way?

  hi everyone, i'm new here......basically, i found this website a couple of weeks ago when i was in dire need of some like-minded souls who had felt screwed up about the jw's.

  from about the age of four/five, my parents and i were involved in the organisation, and all three of us are stil messed up because of it.....we are no longer involved in it, but it took quite a few years before my parents found the strength to leave.

  to begin with, i was quite a zealous jw, was baptised at twelve and disfellowshipped at fourteen, because as i got older i began to grow ''weak in the truth'' as people so kindly described me!

  what would the jehovah's witnesses have to say about eating disorders?

  presumably any kind of mental illness is frowned upon and put down to weakness of the spirit.....i know when i was in it, one sister was severely chastised for having depression....she was told to have more faith in jehovah and presumably when she did, her husband would stop beating her and sexually abusing their kids which was understandably the source of her depression!

  The fact that a religion has to tell it's members that it's OK to seek professional help for medical/mental conditions shows them for the control cult they are.

  yes, it's official!

  my last fill-up cost well over 50, at a cost of 101.9p/litre.. even having been accustomed to paying 10% more than in mainland scotland, this is a new all-time high.

  it was bad enough when it broke the 1 / gallon mark, but this is outrageous!.

  You are getting SCREWED but not by the price of gas.Look into how much of that is taxes that are imposed on you by the govt.

  We are told up font this is a way to get us to reduce our use of cars. Problem is it's a TAX on the poor and has encouraged gas gusseling 4X4's as status symbols.
