i just recently join this site because i was looking for a friendly place for witnesses to go and chat.it's ok!..but i seen a lot of witness bashing.there's another site i want to get into, that's also a site for the witnesses.but i don't know what po means.and that's the only way a true witness can get in.i think maybe there is where i want to be.because i don't need to be in a site for witnesses,where its suppose to be friendly.yet witness haters are coming in.i haven't heard any witness bashing anyone in this site..but yet its the other way around.
This board is considered an "Apostate" website. I personally don't have a problem with current JW's, now their beliefs is another story.I try to be considerate of others on this board, sometimes you just run into some truly rude people, that doesn't mean we are all like that. However if you post defending the WBTS you will be bashed, that's for sure, there are many hurt souls out there, thanks to the WBTS.

ok quick recap of events leading to this.
my dtr married young to prominent family in wtbs...had dtr...dtr now 14 years old....my dtr left hubby and wtbs about 10 yrs ago....she is doing very well in life...... she told me today her 14 years old dtr has not heard from her father (x-hubby) for over a month....why i ask???
?because she does not want to become a jw...............he now basically has very little , if anything, to do with her due to this.

What a stupid, stupid man this is, I cannot for the life of me understand how any parent could "revoke" their love and attention for their own flesh and blood child that does not wish to be a part of a religious group. Makes me ill. Thank goodness your grandaughter realizes it's not her fault.

okay, i know this is personal, but i kind of like the annoninimity of the board versus asking my friends who are all also friends with my husband.. my husband went out of the country with a group from work this weekend.
i was supposed to go but had to cancel due to other stuff.
it turned out only 4 ended up going, my husband, a guy, and two women.
Sounds fishy, I think he had this all planned out, now the hard part is how you deal with it.
My husband cheated on me, he admitted it to me. I was beyond pissed, but forgave him....or at least I thought I did, that happened over 3 years ago and I still angry at him, what happened has really hurt our relationship, so I am seperating from him. Just so you know that wasn't the only problem we had in our marriage, if you have a good relationship with your husband other than this incident, and you are willing and able to forgive then there's your answer. Good Luck, I know it's tough.

last tuesday my jw nephew 26 yrs old, got df'd.
seems his jw father (my brother) and mother came home and caught him having sex, with a guy!!
seems they walked in when the guys were right in the middle of it.
I myself laugh when I think about how JW parents brag about how well behaved their kids are, when in reality they are normal like everyone else's kids, only diffirence is the intense control, indoctrination, beatings and isolation from the world. To my knowledge being gay is something your born with, not a choice, and no amount of bible thumping will ever change that. Sex is also a natrual desire, they cannot delete that from the brain either, repression only makes you want and desire it more anyways, so most JW's kids that leave the org end up being a little freaky. Thank goodness your nephew has you around to help.

I am very sorry to hear about your situation, but I think your mother is trying to manipulate you. Please don't fall for it. All you can do is tell her that you love her and that religion will not change your love for her , also reminder her that your an adult and as such you can make your own decisions.

I would have to agree, but in reality I was a teribble witness, my only chores priviliges were being an unbaptized publisher...cleaning the hall .....WOW!....I know...I know....and doing those ridiculous ministry school householder role plays.
