  I'm Worshipping Satan Now.....

  .....according to my father.. he decided to talk to me today about my meeting attendance.

  i haven't been to one in 3 months by the way.

  so he goes on to give me the usual.."you know where you're supposed to be 3 times a week"......."you're not taking full advantage of jehovah's provisions"....."you shouldn't let anyone discourage you to the point of missing meetings"....that type of stuff.. he then went on to say that if you aren't taking full advantage of what jehovah provides then you're worshipping satan instead of jehovah.

  so sis in law father has been on dialysis for yrs and is elderly and hubby just got a text from his bro 'just so you don't put your foot in it ******'s father is stopping dialysis this wk and has 2 wks to live' (hes a jw too).

  so i said to hubby he should reply and mention how sorry we are but he said why as they're treating me(dobs) like dirt and he doesn't see why he should.

  but although they have cut me out now totally it seems i still think i should do something.

  I would send them a card, show them that you are better then they are, that despite the cruel treatment you are the one who acts more like a true christian.

  after hearing all about my life and experiences as a jw, my non-jw spouse was curious.

  that is how she found this site and how i found it.

  the doctrinal crap really pisses her off, especially because of what it does to families.. i did have a family member who was molested many years ago but do not know the details nor the outcome.

  my daughter and i were just watching this cartoon on cartoon network, and one of the characters said "tell us the truth", to which the main character replied "i won't tell you the truth, i will tell you the new truth".. i laughed so hard thati think i need to change my shorts.. ....and my baby thinks i have finally lost it..

  we have a discussion group of 8 or 9 people that meets at our house every 4 to 6 weeks.

  weve been doing this over 5 years and gotten to know each other fairly well.

  during our last salon a few spoke of religious values that carried over even though they are no longer members of their former religion.

  I am surprised to see how many kids have accounts, I find this alarming considering all the pedos surfing the web, looking for kids to prey on.

  As for your question, if you have faded and are not df'd I would avoid him, if you are df'd, da'd, or not dunked then go for it.

  Many of us here had twisted miserable childhoods, yet we didn't all turn out to be alcoholics, it was this young mans choice to drown his sorrows with the bottle. He had a choice on how to carry on with his life, how many on here were df'd, yet managed to pick up the pieces and try to be happy? It's not easy, but you are here reading my words, you found your way here after or maybe during the cult times, looking for a way to heal. That said, the blame falls squarely on his shoulders, no one else is to blame. The judge should have given him 37 years the first time around. I feel sorry for him, I can empathize with him, but once again he made the choice to get drunk, get behind the wheel, beacuse of his choice their are 4 people 6 feet under.
