Confusion: potental vs actual......leads to false quandry
by Terry inthere is a distinction and a difference between what is only a potential in contrast to what is an actual.. confusing the two leads to false choices and needless crisis of conscience.. .
let us examine on a very definite basis what and why these two terms are so confused.. look at a stack of bricks and lumber.
no.. a house is an actual.

Hungary strips JW's of its legal status as a religious organization
by Honesty inhttp://www.virtueonline.org/portal/modules/news/article.php?storyid=14742.
hungary has introduced a new law governing the registration of religious groups that critics charge discriminates against minority faiths, and strips st margaret's anglican church in budapest of its status as a religious organisation.. .
on 14 july the hungarian parliament adopted "the right to freedom of conscience and religion and on the status of churches, religions and religious communities" law, by a vote of 254 in favour to 43 opposed.. .

JW's will say this is a sign that it's their true religion and the nearing of the end.
And they will fail to see that they're not the only church that are being persecuted.

I haven't read a book in a year. It's been a while.
I need to start again, and it's not going to be the Bible.

Positives of Growing Up JW
by Pig ini dont think any of us are glad we grew up in the org.
but i was thinking about people who get cancer, and if they are lucky enough to beat it often they will say that they were better for the experience.
before they got cancer they were stressed because they had to work extra hours in a shitty job to make ends meet, the kids were nothing but trouble and they spent their lives wishing that time would go faster, that week would be over, that the year would be over.

Memories is the thing that makes us. What gives us an identity of who we are.
Who knows how different one would be if they weren't raised a JW. I don't see any positives of growing up a JW. But as an author once said, "I don't regret the past. I wear my scars as if they were medals".
