Trevor that is a good perspective. I haven't thought of it that way.
This whole subject came up while I was watching a youtube video "The Known Universe". About a few minutes there is the perspective of our Sun's brightness compared with other stars. If someone is flying by our sun, and the only technology they have is travel and don't use the same technology like us (Radio Frequency) then they just pass us by.
What if they're not looking for the same life as we know it? We look for planets that have water. What if they don't use water and they're looking for other type of elements.
I just hate the idea of someone just flying past us.
I also don't like the idea of us just being the only one out there. It's eerie.

I've figured out the cause of all the recent turmoil on JWN....

But I'm a freaking nut too. I seriously believe that there must be alien life out there! No I don't believe we have been contacted by aliens or any such things.
I look up in the stars and believe somewhere there is a planet with an intelligent being looking at our Sun wondering the same thing, as lost as we are.
There is no indication that may be even remotely true. We might just be freaks of nature and be the only species in the universe.

suicide and wts funeral rules
by diamondiiz ini just found out that a husband of an old friend committed a suicide and i was wondering if there are any letters to elders or any wts rules concerning funerals for those who committed suicide.
i've looked in the elders book and letters to boe index and didn't find anything.
some posts here say they can have the funeral at the kh and some here said they couldn't hold it there because suicide was involved.
