I went out on a date about a year ago with a woman who worked in advertisement. I never really did ask her what she did specifically. So somehow during the conversation I voiced my opinion about the new advertisement on web pages where they pick up on key words that you type.

I told her how much I hated that. That whoever came up with that idea should be punished! And so many other stuff, and she just stares at me with surprise. She lets me know that she works for that deparment of their company.

Yeah there was no second date.

I'm going to echo the opinions of various comments already made. I hope that more than 100 years in the future mankind has grown up and have abandonded all or most of they myth of our ancestors.

I think the real reason why I laughed is the placement of the ad. Imagine making a thread about your grandma, then suddenly you open it and see this ad. That's horrible! LOL

yeah i'll admit that i think people who think they talk to god or believe in a superpower is freaking nuts!.

i seriously believe that there must be alien life out there!

Well it would be nice if we dominated the world. Maybe we can spark more interest in fields like Astronomy and Physics. I would like to get more brilliant christians on our side and help the collective to build the next big thing. But as far as using force I don't agree it should be done that way.

That's not to say that there are no Christians in those fields, but if more people were atheist the more they would encourage their childer in that path. Who knows, it might not be a difference. Humans are unpredictable sometimes.

i have heard of a couple of stories of possession, or of jw's talking to spiritists and the spiritists having seen 2 men following the jw, either dressed all in black, or all in white, and very strong looking.

yet, i have never experienced any of it.. another experience that i heard is about a brother whose mom had super-natural strength, and tossed something really heavy.

I had an encounter with a demon once. I woke up and I couldn't move. No matter how much I tried. All of the sudden I saw a shadow move against the wall, and I was scared. Its presence felt so evil! It felt so real and was pretty scary.

I said to my self, "HOLY FUCKEN SHIT WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?". I learned that it was sleep paralysis. I wonder how much of a role has sleep paralysis played in the creation of some myths.

ok i'm sure this has been talked to death... but since we have a thread saying we're missing a good debate here we go..... when the bible meant something to me way back when .....even then i pondered.... god starts off as this vengeful being..."listen to me or i'll lay your soul to waste".

to his enemies ....keep your distance or you will feel the wrath of yahweh or if i want what you have ....best leave now unless any of you men wanna die.

then overnight.. he is patient, loving, kind, his son says love they neighbor.

You would have a point if your interpretation was correct, heck even if the Bible was correct. My opinion of Revelation are in the words and images portrayed there. End of story.

Breaking News - Another Craigslist Killer, 9 bodies found

on the news right now, 9 bodies total count thus far found on long island ny.

all these women were prostitutes who listed ads on craigslist.

Lovelylil, they still haven't taken down those self advertising sections. I don't think they can. Also I like to point out that it's not just online services doing this. Local newspapers also have those advertisements in their personal ads section.
