I say go for it, there is a definite need of someone of sound mind in the BOE, and one who will consider the R&F as human rather than sheep (animals) to keep track of and herd. Access to those letters from Mom etc. would be priceless. think it through tho.

from the saudies, to the people in irag, iran and anywhere else our sons will need to be sent.. our current president claims he is influenced along with the former prime minister of england by religious beliefs.. there is the huge evangelical influence that got bush and the mess he made who put them in to begin with.. we have the jw's causing absolute havic in anyone's lives connected with this stupidity.. it goes on and on and on.

Jesus said you will recognize my followers because of the love they have among themselves. He didn't say you will recognize my followers by those captive of the watchtower concept. I'm all for getting rid of organized religion at least as we know it today, and especially as how it concerns Jehovah Witnesses.

When asked those questins prior to baptism standing up before all at the SAD I replied no, so does this mean I wasn't really baptized? Just a question that has wondered around my mind from time to time, years apart of course.

by sinis inso my old man and i went hunting the other day (he used to be a po, and myself an ms), and eventually the conversation came around to jw (he detests them after the fucked him over royal).
we start talking about jesus, and how the wts changes the comma when the bible says that jesus told the thief, "truly i tell you today, you will be with me in paradise".
however is aware that the greek had no punctuation and it probably should have the comma before "today".

they always change wording and punctuation to suit their needs and their own particular take on things. they like to take minutia (spelling) and make a mountain out of it. (i.e. mountain out of an molehill) so to speak. I don't use the NWT and thats probably why I don't get asked to read scriptures

IMO, the judge should be disbarred, what an idiot, 14 years old and now able to make life or death decisions. Like I said Judge is an idiot. One more child dead because of an obscure dietary law, the aunt should have the s**t kicked out of her too. Why weren't the parents taking care of him? Aunt has custody, child services decision? Aunt takes him to borg and brain washes him. Anyone who believe their stand on blood is 2 beers shy of a six pack. Everyone of them would take blood transfusions tomorrow if the Society said its okay now, and that in and of itself would show they are following men and not their conscience.

They sure as hell don't want any women (supposedly anointed) to be teaching a man anything, they by their own actions show that they are putting themselves higher than women. I have met some really brilliant women who just happened to be witness and to see their abilities wasted and actually looked down upon is disheartening at best. They also put themselves above all others and if one isn't a GB member, they are just part of the R&F in their eyes. Blind idiots., its really all about following the money.

Question on fading
by ldrnomo inmy wife and i have been staying away from meetings for almost a year now and i was wondering what everyone thinks about taking the next step, which would be going to another kh out of the circuit the cong we went to is in and having the publisher cards sent there and then going for two or three times to the new cong and then just stop.
we are thinking that will give the elders an out because they can get rid of our inactive cards and the next cong won't know us that well so won't really care.. as a former elder and po, we are well known in the area we live so many in the area are wondering what's going on with us and if we go to another cong.
that might make them feel more settled.

If you have vacationed out of state in the last few years. just look up a congregation there and ask you old congregation to send your cards there, and you don't show up, so cards will probably get put aside and filed circularly later when you are a no show as they will think you have moved somewhere else. I had two friends do that and waalaa the disappeared into the mist. One three years later has never seen a dub at his residence, and they are retired and home most all of the time. the other has had several visits and killed the visits with specific questins about the society ie. paedophile issue, NGO issue, etc. They quit making an rv on them. Now they are really free to believe/worship god as they wish not some orgazinational entity.
