  An Elder Told Me.... Many To Be Disfellowshipped Soon...

  an elder told me the book is jehovah's latest provision to cleanse his organization.. he said soon all people that have drifted, inactives, and others baptized and not complying with the biblical mandates for a jw, will be visited and given an option to shape up or ship out.. he said that if the person refuses the help offered by the congregation they'll be notified of the date of disfellowshipping and given time to appeal the decision.. he was so happy stating that this way jehovah's organization was preparing for the final clean-up before armageddon.

  he sounded so convincing that it almost made perfect sense what he was saying.

  i got goose bumps listening to his reasoning.. dy

  Somehow I think that Elder was just stroking his already overinflated ego and drooling over his imagined future power over peoples lives. Ugh... screw em.

  I haven't been contacted by anyone from my old congregation, and its the same one my father (Mr. Super Elder) still goes too. He doesnt have my address (for good reason!) but Im sure he could find out through the rest of the family. I think if they insituted this I would be the first to find out. It might be my days are numbered. All I can say is.... Bring It

  damn that boy can eat you would have thought he walked all the way from new york his last designation!

  in his defense he's also a worker, he's trimmed our cedar trees, walked the dog, cleaned up the dog's poop, did the dishes (sorry about his arms falling off, they are paper ya know), oh and he did the dishes after he cooked the dinner.........gawd do i really have to part with him?

  all in all he's a great little guy, doesn't talk much, is very well behaved and doesn't take up much room either, so anyone interested in having flat stanley be a guest please pm me with your addy first to reply is the winner but get in line for the next designation after.. here is the original link explaining all about flat stanley: .

  What is a good way to find long lost relatives and friends??

  i'm in the process of trying to find my wife's brothers they are all in thier sixies.

  we used to have contacts with them but they have moved and since we did not have regular contact with them we can't seem to find thier where abouts.

  they all lived in the new york city boroughs where you have page after page of the same last name bee or eng bee in the white pages not to mention some do not have a phone or they are unlisted.. what can i do to find them any helpful suggestions and inexpensive ways to go about this??

  i am going to the memorial because i am still confused and stressed and discombobulated on the jw issue.

  i know in my heart it is "not" the truth.

  my family keeps stopping by unannouced and seeing if i am going.

  I agree with the others in that a simple "thanks" in response to their welcomes should be good enough. I feel your pain in being shoved into this situation. But also I think Tuesday is on the right track. Turn this whole thing into an opportunity to really look at things critically. It's amazing how different the view is without your blinders on.

  Then you can come back and report to us.

  Think of it as your "Mission Impossible".... without the whole hanging from the ceiling thing... Although in a skirt Im sure some of the brothers would appreciate it....

  i live a ways away from my old congregation and i work with a couple of active witnesses who know i'm inactive.

  so, i've been bombarded with phone calls and asked by my co-workers to go to the memorial.

  You can always just tell them that you wanted to go but it conflicts with your Satanist's Convention.

  heh, not really, but I go along with Bebu's thinking. Tell them you're going with your family and then just stay home with a good movie. You could get more out of watching "Passion of the Christ" anyways.

  I did EVERYTHING that was expected of me. I auxillary pioneered during the summer when in high school, went out in service every weekend, gave talks, assembly experiences and was in a convention drama and had my Watchtower underlined every Sunday. I was the model elders daughter. I STILL felt guilty cause in my mind I HATED every minute of it. I was convinced there was something wrong with me and I was just a BAD person.

  Point is.... I don't think you could EVER do enough and not have guilt.

  ohhh, you just made me homesick for the coast! I grew up on or near the Oregon coast (we moved ALOT) and that's just something you never get out of your blood. I would just love to walk on the beach again!!!

  Ugh... desktop publishing for my one of my clients, stuff that I can't get done during the day with the rugrats up and running around. I always complain about going to bed so late every night but if I'd just get my work done and quit coming here I wouldn't have that problem!

  Not that that will stop me anyways.
