it's no secret that the "organization" has increased it's cia, national security clerance only super-secret attitude in regards to the elder school that is going to be conducted soon.

a few days ago, i had a conversation with an elder who has been in the fold all of his life practically.

in keeping with the conversation style of jws, the gentleman told me that nobody knows what exactly will be taught at the meetings, but in his backdoor conversations with some brothers who seem to be tuned into the bethel's officially, unofficial, communications network, the elders are going to be taught "post-armageddon" teachings.

BUT I remember ...I think back in the '80's...when I was trying hard to swallow all the crap and studying with a bunch of different elders, my now Ex wife coming home from a meeting a telling me that a new plan was being implemented. That plan was "studying with new ones NO LONGER THAN 6 MONTHS" because the "time was soooooo short." I think they used the blue book...was that the United in Worship? or a diff one? Can't remember.

Yeah. They did this in the late 1960's as well -- with the "Truth" [sic!] book.

The U.S. posted a 3% increase -- no doubt due to massive increase in the illegal alien congregations.

I am not so very certain that will play well in the numerous englisch-speaking congregations that have suffered significant losses in the past few years. Perhaps this report will actually be bad for morale in those congregations where for years they've seen little or no positive response in the Field Ministry and have watched as an entire generation of "raised-in" JW youths has evaporated.

back when i was just lurking on this board, someone posted some information from an old wtower or awake!

that showed the society was against disfellowshipping.

the society said it hurt people, and that if people choose to disagree with the borganization, they should have full liberty of conscience to do so.

Based on the fact that half the time one can barely understand what they're singing forwards [sic!], it seems unlikely one would understand anything at all when it is sung or spoken backwards. And in any event, if a faithful Witness heard something that objectionable (even subconsciously), wouldn't that neccessarily result in an unwillingness to continue listening to the song?

this is the third elder that tells me that the body of elders will recommend me as an elder in the next visit of the co.. what do you think i should do?

i am still 'in' because of my family.i am ms.i am doing 10+ fake hours (well, some months it is fake), so they see my "spiritual" progress.-ootb.
