  Why Are People Here So Disrespectful At Times?

  eu has noticed that a number of persons making up this forum are guilty of showing disrespect to jehovah's witnesses.

  some refer to jws as 'hovahs and others talk about kingdumb hells, all the time professing to follow christ.. some may justify their rude behavior by saying that jws themselves can be rude.

  even if the charge is true, and eu is not really convinced that it is, why cannot ex-jws rise above the fray?

  Hi Graceabounds

  I started reading thru the jw.match site ....lol
  It was too funny.
  I wondered if I wrote to the "Ask Esther" part of the site,
  and asked Esther what my "wifely duties" would be....in detail,
  ofcourse, if I was to find a "brother" that I was interested in
  ....if I could ever get back in that site.hehehehe!!!

  LOL!! Been there, done that .. she couldn't find it in her Reasoning Book so she gave me a lousy T-shirt instead

  I agree .. I imagine they don't like Paltalk very much either

  The complaint I figure they could have with this one is the money being spent should be in their pockets or perhaps they are thinking "Why didn't we think to start a dating service" ..lol

  He posted in the third person all the time over on AOL (different name) and also used the same recycled garbage. We were pretty happy to see him pack up his toys and go home. By that time he had most everyone filtered that disagreed with him.

  So today. People may persecute jws and make up stories about them or exaggerate shameful acts that do occur in jw camp. But we expect this kinda treatment. We will rise in spite of it.

  You might notice that the Bible said they were persecuted for the name of JESUS. It's safe to say this is not the case with Jehovah's Witnesses now. Having policies favorable to child molesters has nothing to do with Jesus or his name and exposure of such is not persecution. It's Justice.
  Jesus said you are blessed when they speak all manner of things against you UNJUSTLY. No points for when the accusations are just.

  I need help/info on other religions vs the WTS

  over the past week since i've announced that i was stepping down i have had a few conversations with my family, and against my better judgement i mentioned that i was having doubts.

  invariably almost every discussion about the jw religion eventually boils down to the argument that only witnesses are doing this or that.

  unfortunately this is a weak part of my debate, i have only been associated with the jw religion so i have very little information on what other religions beleive and practice.

  John 6:68

  All this time it pointed to a person (Christ) "whom" and never to a religion (to where). There is a big difference between "to whom" and "to where"

  ps.. there are a few good books found in most libraries called "How to be the perfect stranger: A Guide to Etiquette in Other People's Religious Ceremonies Ed: Arthur J. Magida

  They are very informative and cover the basics of many different denoms and religions.
