Why Are People Here So Disrespectful At Times?

Eu has noticed that a number of persons making up this forum are guilty of showing disrespect to Jehovah's Witnesses. Some refer to jws as 'hovahs and others talk about kingdumb hells, all the time professing to follow Christ.

Some may justify their rude behavior by saying that jws themselves can be rude. Even if the charge is true, and Eu is not really convinced that it is, why cannot ex-jws rise above the fray? Why not show that they are better than those old rude jws and show some common respect? Eu is just thinking aloud. He is not trying to be critical.

I, for one, take offence at the idea that I may not be adequately respectful to Jehovah's representatives, and in fact, his princes.

Personally, I have the utmost respect for those stupid pieces of shit.

I have noticed the disrespect too. It is so IMMATURE. So JUVENILE.

Can you imagine how those disrespectful people would respond if the WT Society resorted to the same immature, juvenile name-calling?

"Goph" has noticed that some persons entering this forum are guilty of showing disrespect to ex-JW's. They cannot understand satire or the fact that because of the huge amount of damage the WT Society has inflicted on these nice people (who are now ex-JW's), there is a need for comic relief and satire.

Some may justify their dislike for ex-JW's by saying that ex-JW's can be rude. Why cannot JW's (or trolls) who come on this board rise above the fray? Why not show they are better than those old rude ex-JW's and show some common respect for these posters, who have been here a long time and have suffered long and hard at the hands of the WT Society.

"Goph" is just thinking aloud. He is not trying to be too satirical.

Wisdom is found in this forum, if you open your eyes.

I think respect should be earned. Most of the active JWs that have posted on this board have been condescending, disdainful, and ignorant. Note i said most - the one or to that have given respect have been treated decently, IMO. And those who come with serious questions that don't set off the "troll" alarms do just fine.

This board is mostly for exJW's or JWs with serious doubts. I would not go into a KH and act the way active JWs have acted here. I would expect to conduct myself with a modicum of decorum. I think active JWs owe the posters here the same respect. This is THEIR community.

Right on Bro.! Respect!!!! The answer to your question will vary from person to person.

Proverbs 7:20-22 "For there is no man righteous in the earth that keeps doing good and does not sin. Also, do not give your heart to all the words that people may speak, that you may not hear your servant calling down evil upon you. For your own heart well knows even many times that you, even you, have called down evil upon others." Have we all not said an unkind word about others?

Romans 12:17,21, "Return evil for evil to no one..." "Do not let yourself be conquered by the evil, but keep conquering the evil with the good."

Some know how to turn the other cheek when insults come their way.

The WT Society doesn't need to "resort" to juvenile name-calling. It labels everyone it doesn't like "apostate", and it consigns everyone who doesn't read the Watchtower and agree 100% to ridicule on its pages, showing them falling into large crevasses at Armageddon.

Why should the big huge printing company (the WT) worry about the opinions of a few rascals out here whose entrails will be scattered all four directions and whose blood the ground will consume at Armageddon? Don't they have some converts to go make?

Never been a JW, so maybe you will not respect my opinion but from my outsider-looking-in perspective...respect, is earned. People generally GET what they GIVE. If a person's religious orientation is one of pious superiority, with some percieved divine approval(of course), see themselves as "special" label/judge others "inferior" ex: so-called Christians, Christiandom, Babylon, pagan, worldlies, bad-associations, DA'd, DF'd, Satan's follower's/tools...whatever... people will generally return the favor. Just my observation.

Eu does not believe that one only has to respect those who earn respect. Respect emanates from within. It is a virtue, something that good people just show to other rational substances. The whole revenge mentality is immature, fleshly, and weak. Be strong and rise above the fray.

    Yours
    Eu
