I WENT TO THE MEMORIAL LAST NIGHT.....

we had two congregations meet and the hall still wasn't full!

I'll show friendly interest & ask a lot of hard questions over for as many weeks as he'll listen. I'll try to witness to him but I'll probably get eaten alive. You never know, I might just sow a seed of doubt for the future.

I've found one good way to handle the Witnesses if you're not sure how to respond is to read the entire book when they quote a scripture. Say the elder says look here at Matt. 24:14. You can always respond that you would rather read the entire chapter 24 of Matthew to get it in context. Usually, there will be a scripture or two that sheds light on what is being said and the Bible has a way of refuting what they say on its own. Of course, they are blind so you usually have to point out the discrepancy for them and then admire the deer caught in the headlights look prior to the elder moving on to another scripture or point rather than addressing yours.

Isn't that crazy how they manage come between family and friends. They are so afraid that you might actually be able to beat your friend into reality!

well....i went and i made it there just in time and i sat in the middle.

i had my aunt and uncle save seats so i did not have to talk with anyone to get a seat.

i sat down and i felt better .....i made it.

Almost everything you can buy is made in China, here in the USA right now

I'm with you on that one! We certainly have not cornered the market on the balance between import and export... We buy an awful lot more than we sell in this country. When it comes to globalization we seem to be overly dependant on the rest of the world.

As for the comment regarding our schools. Yes, I can see in my children's schools that the test scores have slipped. But in our area it is predominately because a good percentage of the students are English learners. They have come over from Mexico. The whole "no child left behind" concept is slowing down the children who have been born and raised here. We really need to close our borders or come up with some programs to integrate people into society more effectively.

LOL - you're pinning the division between Republican and Democrat on Bush? Now that's a stretch considering how long ago those lines were drawn... Personally, I feel our differences are what brings us together, keeps us in check and balances us out as a nation. I can't imagine what things would be like if everyone in the USA was on the Red side or the Blue side. Drama!!!

My husband crawls under the table everytime my inner bitch comes out. I know he secretly admires her though.

Just yesterday a woman came up to me in line at the supermarket with her hands empty and asked if I could hold her spot in line . I gave her "the look" and said, "I'm not having a bunch of pissed off people behind me in line..." She waited and asked the next lady who got in line behind her and then proceeded to go shop for her items, come back and cut in line in front of everyone. I couldn't believe it!

Does it count toward my bitch club membership that I kicked my son's father out of the delivery room when he asked, "how much longer is this gonna take"?

I think any woman who is looking to get in touch with her inner bitch should definitely read the book, "Kiss My Tiara". It's hilarious and the motto of the book is " F@$k 'em if they can't take a joke ". <----- why did that phrase suddenly turn blue on it's own? Hmm...

It's actually rather sad about the spanking because I didn't spank my children at the KH and they seemed to behave much better than the children who were spanked often (sometimes with spoons, belts, etc.). It always seemed to me the children who were spanked allot were more angry and honery. Just my observation
