If it were because of apostacy or apostate leanings, I would suppose at least a marking talk would be given.
would they ask him to participate in helping a newly appointed MS with book study then? If the above were true?
there is an elder at my hall that was removed last week.. he was not df, he still is in good standing.
he did not request it.. how can an elder be removed?.
what is the process?.

I'm starting to wonder if he would read Crisis of Conscience.
This couple has served Jehovah thier whole lives.
It blows me away. You just can't imagine how exceptional he is, especially in his teaching.
He is my favorite elder.
I just really want to know what the process is as she(wife) said they have known about the possiblity of it since the CO's visit in December. and the announcement has just been made.

This is an older elder.......65 or so.......his kids are grown......

maybe he was fighting on behalf of someone being unjustly treated by a j.c.....he would be questioning the body and causing divisions.....i know cos it happened to an elder fighting for me....bastards
This would be my guess. But how can they scriptually do it? Can they do it for not going along with all the other elders. Can they do it if they just don't like him?

He did not step down voluntarily. I talked to his wife today.
What I understand is the body of elders requested it.
His hours are up....he conducted the book study........he does not drink.....no porn.........no affair
From my observation, this is like a Ray Franz thing.

if you could go back intime and change just one thing...what would it be...can be something in your life or in history that would have changed your life but something more original than being contacted by jw.
mine is i wouldnt have kissed her
If I could go back I would make an effort to find my father. My mother divorced him and then forbid him to be in my life. He tried to contact me as an adult but my mother would not tell him where I was. I think he is dead now. If I could turn back time I would know him.........good or bad.
i was in nassau sitting on the beach, sipping a 151 pina colada, watching the jet-ski guy, all toned and tanned.
i remember thinking, he's got the coolest job in the world ... sittting on the beach all day, renting & teaching drunk & horny tourists how to ride them.
that's my fantasy .... i wanna be the jet-ski guy.
Bain de Soleil suntan oil model.
They do test the products at tropical paradises, don't they?
hi everybody, since this is my first post i hope everyone is going to be kind to me :)
one thing that kind of bothers me, and i?ve seen it bothering many honest jws (yes there are such ones) is whether they should remarry after their mate dies.
it is the issue that, in my experience, many do not even dare to confront, at least from older generation.
Not only does this answer seem to suggest that married mates will not be reunited but that they will have the same nature as angels in the heavens.
I find it hard to believe that Gods original purpose for creating woman as a companion to man to be something that changes. To me if creation is restored to the way it was before Adam and Eve were thrown out of the Garden of Eden. Then that arrangement will remain the same. It defies the logic of the whole bible, family, headship, everything. It just does not make sense to me.
Also, it does not make sense that if a married couple can love each other now, and by no choice of thier own, DEATH, how can that seperate them from that love they have. If they would choose to be together again, I think that will happen.
I still believe in Prince Charming and living happily ever after too~
