i am new here and have been for some time now trying to find a jw who is a jw, not someone who was.
i am trying to find out the core beliefs of the jw organization, where do they stand on i guess salvation, heaven, hell, judgement, what happens after you die, jesus christ, the cross, etc.

You can find alot at your nearest Kingdom Hall that can answer all your questions------ even give you a free bible study.

Please---Your Prayers And Good Wishes Are Needed
by Sunspot ini got a call from the er last night---hubby had been in an accident and they were running tests and x-rays.
he was in terrible pain.
they called back during the night during the night saying he has a shattered sternum and other injuries.

calling all young single men
by devinsmom inwew, well my divorce is finally...final, as of today and what a long hard road it has been, and unfortunatly more hardships are to come, since we have a child together.
my ex tried to delay it just yesterday by faxing a sloppy handwritten note to the judge, to tell him he couldnt make it because he doesnt have a license,(suspended for dwi) and hasnt attended any of the hearings at all.
he owes me over $5,000 for child support (deadbeat dad).

Ok now i am getting the creeps
by kls ini live in the country on a hill and i know in the country there are lots of birds but for 3 days now there have been a group of turkey buzzards flying over my house non stop.
as far as i know there is nothing dead in my yard but they constantly circle and circle around my house and getting close to the windows.
now i shower everyday so it can't be that i smell,,,,,,,,could it?.

are congregation revolving around mini-moguls or dynasties of elitist JW?
by cyborgVision inin your experience, did you ever see congregation being revolved around clan-like, all-influential families?.
i don't know about your experiences, but in my personal experience and basically wherever i went i've seen congregation being influenced by mini dynasties of elitist jw.
in fact their influence goes far beyond of what you'd normally consider "spirituality" and branches down to some absolutely bizarre issues such as what type of car you should drive, what brand of clothing is "christian", what sort of barbeque is appropriate, even what cereal you should not buy since it supports "babylon the great", etc.

I have been to many halls and seen it in every hall, more noticable in small town congos.
The congo I am in now, there are two predominate families, One family is from the PO , one is from elder, both with many kids. The PO's daughter is married to the elders daughter. Anyway, the elder has been removed recently so I think there will be a huge shift now.
It is horrible for those that are not "IN" and it is a terrible form of control and abuse, but......they learned it from the best.
