Lady Lee: I think you are right. Field service is suppose to be the answer to everything. Is there any problem that its not suppose to fix? (GRIN)
I suppose those who were abused during childhood are just suppose to go in service more. Maybe service would be easier if the real good news were being preached. That is, that Jesus is the "Way the truth and the life" John 14:6 Please pardon me if I seem cynical or angry, I guess I just need to vent.

What about the Children?
by seek2find insomething that's really been eating at me latley is how during my growing up in the orginazation and now my childrens growing up in it, nothing has been done on an organizational level to benifit the children.
why has there never been any organizational focus on the need for congregations to sponsor activities for young people.
many churches and church groups have extensive ministrys to reach young people.

Why not Jehovah's Witnesses? I keep hearing about how concearned they are about young people, but still nothing outside of a few books has ever been done. Does this bother anyone else?? Seek2find

"Good night said the nightman, we are programmed to receive, you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave" These words from the Eagles song Hotel California echo in my head nearly every meeting. Anyone relate? seek2find

Christian discussion
by seek2find inwould it be possible to have a section of this board for discussion from a christian prospective?
many people who leave jws or are thinking about leaving, would like to maintain the title and way of life as a christian, and it would be nice if there was a place here for them to discuss topics of interest and doctrinal issues with others who also want to be christians, without annoying those who no longer beleive in god or have taken an agnostic stand.
i think it might serve to atract more lurkers if they knew that they could post thoughts and concerns, to others who could offer encouragement from a christian prospective.

To me, This site had a different feel to it than h20 or some of the other sites that let anything go. I don't agree with a lot of what is said here, but I then I don't agree with everything on any discussion board. It's not about agreeing anyway, its about sharing real life experiances, and learning. I first got started on discussion boards back in the 90s on the old prodigy service. There was a board for only JWs and then there was one for debate called "Not the party line". I learned a lot there. Even tho it hurt a lot to find out that a lot of things I always beleived were not true. When that service closed, I went to h2o tho I didn't post there just read. This is the only board I've posted on since Prodigy. I guess the real reason is sometimes I feel a need to speak my mind, and i feel I can do so here. I can't in my real world because no one is listening. seek2find

I read Coc about 10 years ago. I had a christian business aquanitance get it for me. (I was to scared to go to the Christian book store). I kept it hid in my office desk dwawer in a computer software box that was the perfect size. I'd take it out of the box to read and then return it when done. I no longer have it. It was destroyed when it was found out that I had read it. i still don't regret reading it, I just wish I could get my wife to. seek2find
