Any types of books, authors, etc. you enjoy now that you didn't as a JW?

What stupid things did you confess to the elders?
by sweet tee ini forced my husband to confess to the elders that we were having os!
damn that was stupid ... he was great at it .
i also made him tell the brothers that he changed a number on our temporary license tag (don't laugh!

I confessed I had had sex with a man... they asked if it would happen again. I told them that I couldnt say it wouldnt. unnnnnk wrong answer. I was Df'd. One of the elders spit at me these words as I was walking out the door of the K.H. "Well I hope you don't come crawling back in a few years all sorry and crippled up with AIDS." I turned around and looked at him and said " I hope not either" What an Asshole! Later his daughter became the congregation slut....go figure. But he's still and elder!

Worked many quick builds. Was part of the regular HVAC crew in northern Indiana. Most of my close friends were also. Aways had a blast. I rememer one time on a remodel, being up in the rafters when it was over 100 degrees, The only air I felt was over a hole about the size of a pencil in the ceiling(my floor) and getting the breeze on my face to cool down. But all in all it was a great time. Some of the workers were a bit posessive of their tools. One guy from our our cong. who was an odd bloke, also and elders son, killed himself with a shotgun in his driveway after having a fight with his wife. Sooooooo, not all who are there at those builds are the cream of the crop!
