i meant as far beinging in a relationship(because i'm so picky) but i didn't mean i needed someone to make me happy, trust me i can enjoy myself..still who want to not be in love?so pleeeese!
Sad and Lonely - I remember your first post and ....let me say, I am no one to give advise on the subject of love. I am on my 3 rd marriage. lol
My theory in life & love is: "What one won't....two will" lol haaa

i wanna hear the word that made you either physically nauseous or burst out in uncontrolable laughter.
please demonstrate it in a sentence as well.
mine was 'enthused' (my fingers were shaking as i typed).
The one I couldn't stand hearing was:
"Jehovah will take care of it... in his own due time"
Sister So-in-So/Brother So-in-So
If something bad would happen 'It must of been Satan..."

some of you may know that my parents and whole family do not have any contact with me, apart from my dad who has provided his mobile number for "family business/emergencies".
i never try to contact them anymore after a negative experience after being beaten up trying to break up a streetfight last november when i called my dad and he hung up as soon as he realised it was me crying on the other end.. .
anyway - i decided that just because they want to forget about me i don't have to be the same anymore and i wanted them to know how happy i was.
Crumpet - what you did was the best thing that you could of done! To shun someone, you need a victim! You contacting your parents showed them that you are not a victim and you are the better person!
You asked for examples: My son and his wife wrote me a letter about a year ago explaining that they could not talk to me. Bull$hit! Last week I stopped in to see my son, but he was at work. His wife answered the door and started to shake while she was talking to me. (She is pregnant, with my first grandchild) I was there to see if everything was ok and if they needed anything. I gave them some money for their anniversary and a little something for the baby. She told me that she had a doctors appointment that week and she would let me know after the appt if everything was ok. Well, 3 days later.....no phone call.
So yesterday, I called my son up and asked him. I said to him ' I am not going to keep you long on the phone, but I was just calling to see if everything was ok at the doctors visit.' He was so pleasant to me and we laughed and said our good-byes. (I'll probably receive another letter telling me that they can't have any contact with me! ) haa But I'll be back knocking on his door again!
Oh and by the way....Happy Belated Birthday!

last tuesday my jw nephew 26 yrs old, got df'd.
seems his jw father (my brother) and mother came home and caught him having sex, with a guy!!
seems they walked in when the guys were right in the middle of it.
If your nephew has been gay for 10 years so far, he was probably glad that he was caught & Df'd. Now he can move on with his life!

Hello Swiftbreeze,
I started to laugh when I read your comment :

Hello Quentin,
Welcome!
Like yourself, I'm new here but I have been out of the JW's for 10 years. I liked your story because one of your statements was: ( It took a long time to get the WTBTS out of my system.)
That is so true! Once you leave you deal with all kinds of inner conflict until you get the WBTS thinking out of your system.
Being here and chating and reading the different threads, has made me feel like I finally found a place where I fit in. The people here can relate to everything that you say.
Dee
i know its an old thread, but its fun and educational.. i had many, but the one that come to mind the most is.
the orgy!!!.
it was southern calif. about 1969. i was 20 years old.
I was reg. pioneering and it was a bunch of sisters in my Van. Since we were so close to my house that morning, I asked everyone if they wouldn't mind stopping and having a peice of pie and coffee. Most of the time, I can honestly say my house is very clean. But that morning I didn't make any of the beds and I wasn't sure about the kitchen. I asked if they would please excuse the mess.
One of the sisters in the back of the Van said, 'Dee we know that you are not a SLUT !'
SLUT????- I looked at her! She yelled out, 'NOOO, I mean Slob!

after having researched my beliefs of 45+ years, finding so much was really different than what the bible context really taught, i decided to "read" the bible for for the first time to see what it really was saying, taking off the "blinders" of the wt.
i began reading the greek scriptures first.
i used the new world translation, knowing if we were to ever reach our grown children, i would need to use that translation to prove anything.
For no particular reason, it wasn't until 2004 that I decided that I wanted to read the King James version. I wasn't looking for anything different, but I found myself doing a comparison between the NT and KJ version.
I'm going to look up your scriptures that you mention, just to see what I find.
Thanks for the information
Dee
