Descison time?

Avb - and while reading further in John 2:24-25 it says that Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men. He did not need man's testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man.
Jesus himself said it...he did not trust man. Just think, all the years that we as JW's believed the GB (mere men) and what they said. All the Watchtowers and the different rules that were written and we followed everything and believed men.

Taking predictions for the 2007 memorial partakers!!
by cultswatter ini'm doing this well in advance so that all the wonderful people on jwd can look back later and see just how close they were to the actual number!
(it is possible the wts might stop publishing the partaker numbers) in a few days, i will duly record the link to this thread for future reference.. remember that there were 8524 partakers in 2005 and 8758 partakers in 2006, an increase of 234 partakers.
so how many remnant will partake in 2007??.

My Mom died yesterday
by skeptic1914 inmy mom passed away yesterday.
she was a die-hard jw.
i tried to explain why i couldn't accept certain teachings but rather than rationally consider what i had to say she chose to believe i was just "confused".

Thank you.
by BridgeOverTroubledWater ini've been out for about 4 years and for the first time i've been able to find a place that understands how hard it was for me to get to where i am today after being raised a jw.
i feel like all of you can relate to having to start a new life from scratch after years of living a completely different one.
so, thanks..

Anybody here ever FASTED before?
by avidbiblereader ini usually fast three to four times a year, i am going on my third day now.
i get tremendous health benefits from it as i purge my body of impurities that we eat, drink and otherwise.
i feel much clearer mentally and physically.. has anybody else ever fasted, for how long, how did it help you and what did you do?.

Abr, I have fasted and feel very good afterwards. The first time that I fasted, I researched all kinds of information before starting the fast. (Just to make sure that I was doing it correctly.) I stayed on it for 6 days. Right after that I started the Weight Watchers program and lost 32 pds, along with exercising.
Since then, I have fasted but only for about 3 or 4 days, once a year.

Does this amaze you or am I the only one????
by avidbiblereader ini will try to make this brief but how can you abbreviate love and kindness?
this is truly amazing!!!!
as many you have seen i ran into a small glitch on the forum the last couple of threads, without going into detail and really not necessary as there have been plenty of comments and views on both threads, i was willing to walk away from the forum because this is my nature as paul said in .

Did you ever falsify your time?

Abr,
No, I always tried to be as honest about my time...but there were days when you were put into a car group with someone who liked to drive around the country side. I didn't mind b/c ...when I pioneered, I knew it was going to be an easy day.
