100 Good Samaritans needed

two of this board's, and h2o's before it,long time and well known participants have fallen on desperately hard times.

if they could set up pay pal accounts and enough of us could contribute say $20 - $50 per month it would help them though their hardship.. these two people have helped many escape from the wts and i know for sure have given money and other material help to those in need, even when they could not afford it.. if you can help, send an email to: [email protected].

you need not include any particulars of who you are etc, just an indication that you could support this and how much you could send.

Hey T I past my posting limit, first time!

Okay, I know exactly what you're going through, being disappointed with the contributions so far. I've been through this with fundraising in these situations before. People think they can't do enough so they do nothing.

Listen, folks. There are, as T pointed out, 3000 members of this forum. If you each went out and got a money order for 2.00 apiece each for our friends in need, that would add up to 6000.00 apiece! That's less than the price of a happy meal, for crying out loud.

I know that some here are in desperate finantial times, but I also know that many are well off.

If you've been helped even once by a post by Farkel or Max, can you do this? Please? Just a couple dollars a month in an envelope for a little while. It won't hurt you and it really will help them.

Ignorant Elder Comments

i don't know if this was discussed here before, but, what is the most ignorant comment you ever heard an elder say.

i once had an elder say to me that my brother, who was at the time fighting in vietnam will be destroyed and killed over in 'nam because he did not accept "jehovah"!!!!

i promptly told him to go "f" himself.

I know that's what happened on my JC. One nice guy said that my letter should be sufficient to consider me da'd and that they wouldn't take further action. He didn't realize how much power my Father in law had and I know that they got him into the back room and set him straight.

They df'd me a week later, and I only heard that from my ex husband. They never notified me in writing, as I asked them to.

I feel so sorry for any guy who is trying to be a good man and a "good" elder. It must be hell on earth.

A Note From Maximus To You All

many of you have wondered where maximus has been the past while and i would like, with his permission, to fill you in on a few details that will shed a light his recent sabbatical.. maximus and others have been working for some while on his book which i can assure you will bring some very interesting information regarding wts issues into the public arena.

without giving too much away, the book will be unique in the sense that it will embody theology with personal experience and present a helping hand through the process of challenging wts theology in a practical way, to establishing a meaningful and fulfilling life after the wts, if a person so chooses to walk this path.

many who know maximus personally will validate the fact that he has a vast fund of knowledge and experience of wts life and that he wishes to use this to heal rather than to further enflame.. the book which is still in its embryonic phase, will be the first of a number of projects developed by a new publishing company to aid those who are undergoing crisis in their lives, whether theologically or emotionally.

It's Es, for the first time ever I hit my posting limit!

Please send Max my love and tell him that I tried to e mail him but the address I have won't work :/ Send all my wishes for quick improvement in health for him and his Mrs. Also know that the ideas that have been put up in the Good Samaritan thread were also my ideas for ways to channel funds to Max as well.
