Thanks for posting and I bookmarked the site.
I remember when the fraction article came out being at a gathering of witnesses And getting into a very heated arguement. I found it very wrong to accept fractions and not contribute to the supply.
And felt very sorry for my dear friend in Canada that lost her fiance for refusing blood and now all she has, the abiblity to say he made a stand for the truth. And now........What really is the truth? Poor Family.

How is your congregation doing financially?
by truthseeker inif you still go to the meetings - look at the notice board where they have the accounts report.. is there a deficit?.
our cong wanted to build a new hall (they share), but they cannot raise the funds to do this.
did your cong pay bills on time, i.e.

I have never seen anything posted about our finances at the hall. Only announcement and the way he reads it I can never tell if we have money or not.
Because he always says we have a deficit and then he will name off some bills and then what was collected and blah blah blah.......its all very confusing -

National Average = Quotas
by zack inthe national average for publishers reporting feild service time in the untited states is just under 10 hours a month.
this has become the de facto standard for every member of the congregation.
if one fails to produce at the rate of others, he is "weak", his service is "divided", he puts the things of "this life" in "first place.".

This is the problem - the WTS aren't really requiring what you can reasonably do, they want you to simplify your life, and go beyond just doing what you can fit in the week
I went to as many meetings as I possibly could. Making meeting attendance was top priority in all my decision making. I sacrificed all I could. When I did that, then I started taking ungrateful sisters to the meetings. I could see that no matter how much I gave up and gave "spiritually" was never going to be enough.
My only hope was to marry someone that could allow me not to work altogether so I could pioneer.
Putting in more time in door-to-door will not make me more spiritual or closer to GOD. It does not make you a better person and it certainly does not qualify you to move up in responsiblity.
well that is just my opinion. -

I thought about this alot since I posted. If the scripture said, that he remembered that we are imperfect...........but it doesn't. It says..... remembering we are made from dust. So it takes it right back to the very beginning. the creation of Adam. We were already imperfect at creation.
Why can't we just accept we don't really know HOW we were created, BUT that we do need guidance without all the hoopla? How come the big fairy tale?
And all the pieces to the puzzle that religion keeps promising is going to fit some day------just won't. -

There is a brother in my congregation that recently had brain surgery that left him disabled....he sometimes has a problem with his balance. Other than that he is fine.
He worked 30 years at the same job.....odd hours so he missed meetings.
Now that he is unemployed we see him more at the meetings and in field service. He even keeps the grounds looking beautiful.
An elder mentioned to me how this brother had grown so much spiritually in the last year. (since the surgery) and my thoughts were ....I don't think he is any more of a spiritual man than before. He just has more time now. He is more visible, not more spiritual. I think JW's get really confused at this. He did not have much of a life outside of work and meetings .......so now his life is all meetings.
