Do you still use Jehovah's name in prayer assuming you still pray?

if you do pray, will you use the name that's above all other names....says the watchtower.. if not, what name do you use?.

I don't know what to call the creator anymore. I am practically an atheist at this juncture in my life. However, I would like to believe in God, but I get confused and don't know what to call him, so much of the time I don't address Him in prayer. I am quite gratified with everyone's post here. I usually refer to him as Father. I would like to call him Jehovah, but I am afraid I might want to go back to the Kingdom Hall just to believe in something--so I don't .

Here is another reason to celebrate on December 25th
by Eyebrow2 inokay....i tried reading the whole thread about not taking christ out of xmas http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/97085/1.ashx, but really, no, that is just too much to read through...and i figured no one would both to see what i had written anyway...so here are a few other reasons for those of you to celebrate on dec 25th if you don't have "christ in your christmas".
i suppose if you don't have christ in your christmas we could call it "christmas lite" or "christ free christmas" "nonchrist latte with half decaf".
anyhoo.... 1. isaac newton's bday...a giant in math and phyics .

As the days grow shorter and nights longer, Christmas is such an oasis in the dark season of winter, coupled with the feeling of good will and excitement from everyone. The contrast of the cold outside, (even snow) with the warm coziness of your house, plus the hustle and bustle of getting a few gifts together and cooking dishes you ordinarily don't. I know much of it is holiday greeting card fantasy, but I still love it. You know, "chestnuts roasting by an open fire". And the carols! The lyrics to the Christmas carols are so beautiful and descriptive.

friends

ever had the experience where you meet someone and you have this small hope that they will turn out to be one of those persons you totally connect with, yet as time goes forward, it becomes painfully clear that it just isn't going to turn out the way you had hoped?.

As you got baptised a j.w., did you truly agree with all j.w. teachings?
by hubert in's that weren't born into the cult.. were there any teachings, doctrine, etc.
that you still had a hard time accepting, even though you were going to be baptised into the org.?.
which policies and teaching?.

No, I didn't believe all the JW teachings even though I was to be baptized. I figured that in time Jehovah would reveal his truth and set things straignt. I did not believe the anti-evolution doctrine, anti-psychiatric doctrine.

Hibiscus, I celebrate Christmas because it is the most fun time of the year. I grew up Catholic in a very dysfunctional home. Christmas was the only happy time in my life. At 17 I converted to Jehovah's Witnesses and had to relinquish Christmas, much to my dismay! Especially when I raised my children without that wonderful holiday in their otherwise dreary lives as JW's. Now I'm of of JW's and I celebrate it once again with gusto. Since now I am not Christian nor care to be one, I care not one bit if it is called Christmas or Xmas.
