  do you mean literally cant do, or are not supposed to do? If the latter, here is an abbreviated list:

  1) smoke

  2) masturbate

  3) vote

  4) gamble

  5) think critically

  6) join the army

  7) celebrate ANY holiday

  8) take blood

  9) surf "freeminds.org"

  10) marry or date a non-JW

  theres probably several thousand more but I ran out of space....

  well we can marry a non - jw- I did w/ no reprocution. Marrying a DF'd person however.. bad, very bad.

  Think critically about the religion. Once a JW begins to be able to do that, they are already on their way out.

  Somebody should post the "Pay Attention to Yourselves and all the Flock" secret elders manual....I think it provides the most complete list of JW no-nos !!

  Min, it'd be easier to post what JWs can do:

  1. Go to meetings
  2. Go out in Service

  But here's a partial list of what they can't do, jes fer you:

  1. Celebrate birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Independence Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day, New Year's Eve or any other holiday that's fun
  2. Grow a beard
  3. Get an education
  4. Question any doctrine the GB has approved
  5. Mouth off to the elders
  6. Report a molestation to the police without clearing it with the elders
  7. Talk to Dateline
  8. Openly suggest that we might not be living in the Last Days
  9. Charity Work
  10. Go inside another church
  11. Admit that there are worldly people out there that are better christians than Witnesses
  12. Miss the meetings unless you're at death's door
  13. Socialize with relatives that are not Witnesses
  14. Associate with worldly people unless it's to try and convert them
  15. Snub an elder's wife, even though she's perfectly free to snub you
  16. Take your kids Trick or Treating
  17. Let your kids participate in sports after school
  18. Fall asleep during the meetings and/or assembly
  19. Miss the Memorial unless you're laying in a casket and even then it's frowned upon
  20. Take a blood transfusion to save your life
  21. Buy a lottery ticket
  22. Have a life

  I think the list is too long. Maybe you should ask what they can do. There is a list out there somewhere in which jw's/exjw's can add to, was it on Shaun's page? anyway there is a list out there. carla
