2005 JWD Annual Report
by seattleniceguy inwell, 2005 is drawing to a close, and that means its time for another edition of sng's annual report.. i have quite arbitrarily decided that our jwd year ends on december 15, and using the member directory, i have extracted a few statistics.
this past year, 4973 new members signed up for a new total of 21081 members, or a 30.9% increase.
our increase of 4973 breaks down to about 414 new members per month, or (using the society's published average of 65 publishers per congregation) approximately 6.4 congregations a month!

I'm happy to see the increase. Thanks. When I see JW's working the neighborhoods I think "there but for the JWD go I."

Your art is chilling and haunting. If those emotions were your inspiration you definitely succeeded in translating to canvas. I actually feel a foreboding when view it. You are extremely gifted in expressing your ideas. Be nice if you will post more art in the future.

I do believe animals have feelings. I enjoyed reading all of your posts and am delighted to read of all of your pets' behaviors. You all seem a compassionate group of people. I have a dog and a cat who I love dearly.
As for the poor pig - alas, I am saddened to know you have to experience your sadness about his ultimate fate. It bothers me very much how animals are treated before and during the slaughter and for that reason I am a vegetarion (most of the time). It is just too sad.

How do you give a cat a pill?
by Elsewhere inmy cat is a little sick (all sorts of nasty things coming out the business end .
i was also given some pills that need to be administered once a day... but she will pitch an absolute fit when i try to stick it down her mouth.
she always manages to bring it back up and slobber it onto the floor.

This is quite an interesting topic. I have a cat and have yet to be able to give it a pill of any kind, so I am printing all of the instructions here.
Legolas, your instructions are hilarious. Thanks.

Born ins...how far did you go?
by wanderlustguy inhow far from where you grew up do you live now?
did you leave to get away or to take ownership of your life and create a new destiny?
did you leave before or after you figured it out?.

I am about 30 miles from where I became a JW. Yes, I also use different names to disguise myself since I do know JW's here and attended weekly book studies for about a year. I have since discontinued study or communication with Jehovah's Witnesses (since I learned the truth about the truth). I haven't been mentally away from them for a long enough time for their prattle to not cause confusion in me. I just want to fade.
