i know some dissatisified members have planned to "throw caution to the wind" when they exit and break the news as a stunning revelation of lies.
some of my funniest memories were of teachers and others terminated but since they had to finish their contract, they decided to share their insights and horrors.
in normal life, there is a certain allowance made under the circumstances.
All of these stories are funny. Let's hear it for the dissidents!!

Designs,
I brought a Bible Study to the KH for his first visit and he started arguing with the Watchtower conductor during the study, pretty hilarious
That is sooo funny. I bet you were surprised. By the way--what ever happened to him? If you ever see him again let him know he is my hero.LOL
i was 25 years a congregation member; ten years an elder; all told, up to 18 years an appointed man; a decade or so as a full-time minister; assembly speaker, with the pinnacle giving the public discourse at a district convention.. .
i stopped being an active member of the congregation in november 2010, but it had been brewing for several years, with the customary gradual drifting away - all the necessary mental gymnastics as my spiritual views changed and doubts set in; quitting the theocratic ministry school; ceasing to answer; sitting quietly off to the side.
i think the straw that broke the camels back was when family worship inevitably became family worship.
Welcome to the Board and please stick around.
hello all, i've been on this site for a few weeks (reading for longer) and i have to say this site has helped me a great deal.
i see from reading all the posts that many many people share my views on the whole jw thing and i'm so glad i can express myself without getting into problems with getting reported to the elders or something.
i am currently in my late 30's happily married to a jaydub with 2 kids.
Welcome! So glad to have you here.
dear friends,.
it has been a long time since i have posted.
time heals much pain, and finally, my family and i have been able to move on with our life outside of jw land.. many of you became our friends, our support system, and you know very well our exit story...we were labeled, slandered and disfellowshipped for having questions regarding the date 607. we sent out letters exposing the elders and circuit overseer to over 200 families.
Wonderful success story - especially awesome for an ex JW!
well.. i've been here for a few weeks but still feel like a relative newbie.
i just wanted to introduce myself as much as i'm able to.
i'm still 'in' so to speak although mentally 'out'.
Hello there and welcome.
1, 2. in what ways can you benefit from bible examples?.
find in him a good example of one who.
that the only warning we find in solomons.
Thanks Blondie.
i've been lurking on this forum for over a year, and i thought i'd say a quick hello.. .
i was raised as a jehovah's witness and managed to endure past the encouragement that one receives from age 16 onwards about what is holding me back, and never got baptised.
i figured that making one of the most important decisions of my life requires a lot more thought than people seemed to be giving it, and shouldn't be based on emotion as is quite common.. .
Hello and welcome!
john, his brother james, and their father,.
(john 3:1, 2; 19:38) this fear.
overcome fear of man.
Thanks, Blondie!
