i realize that alot of xjw's are hurting financially, especially if they have been fighting the watchtower.

what they do not grasp is that we can defeat the watchtower if we are united and help each other.

it is similar to a war.

Funny Memory

when i was 19 i was married, for two years already.

the elders in our hall went to my husband and told him to monitor what i wear more closely because it was too revealing.

they told him that a sister in our hall came to the body of elders and complained that before she became a witness she was a lesbian and my revealing clothing made her have immoral thoughts about me and asked the elders to please have me change my wardrobe so her thoughts would stop.

Ha I know that feeling! Reminds me of the time I got counselled to wear looser clothes around my chestal area as my breasts had been distracting another elder. (the same elder who had at one time had an affair with a regular pioneer). Yeah that was definately my bad!

I tried on wedding dresses! It was a little weird at first trying them on. I just kept looking at myself in the mirror thinking what the hell am I doing?

But in true bridezilla style I quickly adjusted to the situation and before you knew it had tried on half a dozen dresses...

I am going away for awhile.........

i am going away for awhile to try to heal my heart.

since my dfing i have tried so hard to make sense of what has happened to me.

to see it from the society's view and from freedom's view.

Oh Anewme. I mean this when I say I will miss you. I've seen the struggle you've gone through and how you've worked through things. I've seen through your postings what a sweet and genuine person you really are. I was thinking just last week about the things you've been through and how inspiring you are.

Keep it up. Stay inspiring. Stay sweet. Just stay you.

I have a story to tell you.

Some years ago when I was doing my best as a JW and really trying hard to do the right thing with the other JW girls I lived with our Book Study conductor asked if he could come around with another elder for a shepherding call. Well naturally we were all packing it wondering what it was that we had done.

The day came. Turned out the elders wanted to commend us on how we were doing and to let us know how it had been noticed that we try hard etc etc. Not one word of you should do better. Just full on encouragement to keep up the good work. These elders were not the norm though. They were those good men who didn't do it for the power trips.

Fast Forward a few years later

virtually ignored by the elders until they find out I have a non JW boyfriend. Out of the blue they want to do a shepherding call. Basically I thanked them for their interest and told them it wasn't necessary. I had to repeat myself a few times and admittedly they were very angry about it but I stood my ground.
