Ah Katie to see an animal suffering is not a good thing. If I was in your situation I would be angry with the owner. There's no reason to let a dog suffer like that. I'm a dog lover - adore them! But I could not stand to see a dog in that condition. It would break my heart.

When do you put a dog down?
by katiekitten inim at my dads house at the moment and they have this dog thats 14 years old, and apparently this brand of dog has an average life expectancy of 10, so shes had a good innings.. now im not a dog owner, so its pretty easy for me to say i think they should put the dog down.
my dads wife is very sentimental about the dog.
i would say she was very attached to it, but for all her sentimentality, she has never walked the dog (its always been my dad) and she is not the one who gets up in the night with a mop and bucket - that'd be dad too.

That "thing" you should burn...
by Sparkplug inok, i think everyone has an outfit they own that possibly is just to be worn when alone.
on laundry day when there are no other clothes to wear, these items come out of our closets and get worn through the home.
wearing these outfits guarantees that company will show up.

It wasn't my mum, it was my dad.
He used to get tongue and mince it all up mix it with herbs and stuff and then cook it up like a meatloaf. We'd get tongue sandwiches to take to school... Ewwww!

how many of you have armed themselves?
by buffalosrfree ini recently bought a high powered rifle and am presently buying a pistol for back-up.
i have a cross bow, a compound bow, and several swords and knives, in fact i have been collecting knives for some time and have learned how to use them in defending myself and in taking the initiative in learning to defend myself.
i am quite versed in using both the croww bow and the compound bow, it seems the goverment doesn't want to defend us and just wants to unarm us.

I do understand where Chuckie is coming from.
As you know, here in Australia we don't have the gun laws that you have over in America. To us the whole thing seems so surreal. When there is a shooting it makes the national news its that big of a deal.
From my perspective the whole arming yourself seems to be a really big deal. Its a completely different world for us. And to be perfectly honest doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
Question though.. sort of on the issue. I heard somewhere (actually it may have been on the Simpsons!) that the reason the gun laws are in place is in case England ever tries to invade America? LOL - I'm sure that's not it but I wanted to find out.

Of course most of us fit one of these categories. What about any other families in your congregations? Did ANYONE live up the ridiculously high ideals/standards?
In my own family my father never was a believer, my sister and I faded, my mother was disphellowshipped once and my brother disphellowshipped twice. My sister in law was disphellowshipped once and my ex brother in law disassociated himself.
I don't think its humanly possible!

Getting Hitched
by fullofdoubtnow ini just want to share this with you all.. a few weeks ago, trev (dedpoet) popped the question, and of course i accepted, so we are getting married!!
we have been busy getting things started since then, hence the slight delay in posting our news.
we aren't in a particular hurry, as we have no desire to have children.
