KatieKitten, congrats on the victory for the principle and the pounds, but did they offer him a spot on the force, too? Does he still hope to work as a policeman?

Has anyone ever sued the Watchtower for loss of inheritance ..... and won?
by hubert inwell, that's the question.
my wife came up with this one, without really knowing the impact it had on me.. i've heard a few discussions on this, but never heard anything solid about it.
is there a way we can find out?

The above links to an Ohio Supreme Court decision against a pettitioner who claims their relative was coerced into making the Watchtower their beneficiary. I couldn't find any other probate suits regarding inheritances and WT beneficiaries.

Aristophanes may have been on to something...I wonder if the Lysistrata strategy could be usefull in other spheres, like the kingdom hall?

Oysterhead's Grand Pecking Order. It's a lively quickstepping march, suitable for sacred service.
In the Grand Pecking Order
Where is it you stand
Under foot of swollen bastards
Or on the neck of another man
At the grand feeding table
Are you sitting near the head
Or the corner by the bathroom
Where you're asked to pass the breadAnd you pass it with a smile on your face
For to pout about would only bring disgraceTo the Grand Pecking Order
the Grand Pecking Order
the Grand Pecking Order
To the Grand Pecking OrderIn the grand pecking order
Where is it you lie
Are you the tall hog at the trough
Or a piglet in the stye
On the grand ladder of life
Are you near the highest rung
Or somewhere near bottom
With your nose in hairy bungAnd you sniff it with a smile on your face
For to pout about would only bring disgraceTo the Grand Pecking Order
the Grand Pecking Order
the Grand Pecking Order
To the Grand Pecking OrderAnd you're dancing with a smile on your face
For to stand about would only bring disgrace!

telling lies
by happyone inneighbors of mine have been spreading some unkind untruths about me and i'm not sure what i can do about it.
i'm struggling and would love some words of insight from others.
there are days when i'd like to sink to their level and tell some lies of my own, but i know that's not the way to go.

Hi Happyone!
Whom are they telling? Other JWs, or just anyone? Were or are you a JW? Believe me, if they are telling just anyone, and you are not a JW, chances are they will be looked upon as busybody crackpots.

Do you learn from negative people?
by free2beme ini heard once a comment or quote that said something to the affect,.
"do learn from negative people, is to lower yourself to their thinking and to learn from their vast years of mediocrity".
with that said, i think it pays sometimes to reflect on who we listen too in our life, and more important, who we strive to please and be life.

Here Witnesses are hit and run shunners. They'll whip a snub on ya one week and the next week they'll call ya and ask for a favor just like old times.
The Witnesses didn't ask me personally to borrow my tractor, they asked my son to ask me and relay the answer back to them. That worked for them once. :-)
Gary, for a fact, NE drubs opperate the same way as they do in SD. I'll bet anyone a hotdish that MN drubs operate the same way, only I don't have the stomach to collect the data myself.
These are actually defective people. I treat them like they are all mentally ill.
Excellent practical, common-sense advice. Personally, I wish I'd made your virtual acquaintance years ago. Keep on telling it like it is!
