  The elders are taught that they are spiritual shepherds entrusted with the flock, so child abuse is just another spiritual sin to be dealt with internally.

  They are taught to contact the Legal Dept. at Bethel, so immediately the normal processes of conscience - ie OMG a child molestor is on the loose, lets kill the b*stard, or at least call the cops - are subsumed to the dictates of Brooklyn.

  How brainwashed they must be to go to court to protect a child molestor? Incredible.

  i am being called an apostate by some at the kingdumhell ,what should i do

  when i bump into the people who are calling me that name i would like to say something about what apostate actually means but im not very articulate (you may have noticed) one lady has said she will be polite to me but nothing else , im not even an ex dub just an ex study so do i actually qualify for that title in the "land of makebelieve"?

  i know that jws think they invented the word apostate !

  Ask them if they mean the Biblical, the dictionary or the JW defintion of apostate.

  It sounds like you have heard this 2nd hand - not many JW's have enought balls to front this up to your face - more likely to be a victim of an anonymous whispering campaign...

  I had a similar incident at my work involving porn and took great delight in recounting the stupidity of the person involved to the most senior people I could find - we all laughed our respective asses off and no harm done.

  (I got an MSN virus which slowed my laptop down enough to make it unusable - 13 other laptops in the company had to be completely scrapped in the same outbreak. So I took mine to Internal Support, explained I had the virus and could they kindly fix it. The long-haired yoof returned my laptop a few days later and asked to have a quiet word with me in the HR Directors office. He mentioned a significant quantity of porn images had ben found in the Internet Explorer cache folder and that I should be more careful about what I was looking at. So I asked him to go over the facts with me - I have worked for an ISP for 8 years and don't know how to delete cached images before handing my laptop in to Support? NOT. I have complained about contracting an MSN virus that has trashed 13 other machines. CAN YOU SEE A CONNECTION HERE? Dimwit. So I went on the front foot and told everybody I knew about what had happened and that was that - heard no more about it, no rumours going round and we all had a good laugh.)

  i have come to this forum on the recommendation of an ex jehovah's witness who has been very helpful.

  although he has given me some useful information, he suggested i post my question on here too to see what others have to say.
