hi friends,.

i had a meeting today with an old time friend... he is married & has 2 children.

i had not seen him for over 10 years... he had been studying the bible with the jw for over one year & asked me i still was one of them.

I had a meeting today with an old time friend... he is married & has 2 children. I had not seen him for over 10 years... He had been studying the bible with the JW for over one year & asked me I still was one of them. Well, I said NO, although I am still officially one. We talked for over an hour & I showed him all the papers about the WT-UN affair & using Russells books showed him the failed profecies & with the help of some WT literature he could see their lies about them. He was convinced by the proof!. I am happy they have they lost this family.

Parousia applied to the first coming of Christ?

i was checking all the bible verses that had the greek word parousia, translated as presence by the wt, when i came across a text (2 peter 1:16-17) where this word seems to be applied to the first coming of christ.

i showed this to my friend ginosko, but he thinks differently.

the wt applies this verses to christs transfiguration.

The verses 16 & 17 read in NWT version:

You have to remeber that in this countries maids mostly don't have an education, they come to the capital city to get out of poverty. some of they hardly speak spanish, their mother language being quechua (the Inca's language). others live in the city but in extreme poverty & their only way of getting out of this plight is working for another family. Some of these girls become attached to the families they work for, even staying for generations. They become almost part of your family & you get to love them. They believe in you sinceriy & desire to help.
Many times this uneducated but sincere people fall pray to cults... I am glad to have helped one of them to avoid this.

There are are 4 families involved, the merit is not my own or my wife's. A year ago, when I discover this UN affair in the internet, I began my research... I wrote a mail to a close friend of mine, also a good elder & very smart (Ginosko, now a poster in this forum), I gave him all the information about this scandal & we opened our eyes to the WT lies. His family of 4 is out know... he had a meeting with the elders & was DA'ed some weeks ago (they could not answer his questions)... it took me some time to open my wife's eyes, but she is with me now (we are a family of 5)... so the count is 9...(they may try to come after us soon).
I spoke also to some relatives (another family) & they have seen the hypocrisy (one family of 3 & another family of 2), their heart is not with them anymore & they are fading... I have spoken to some other people and some opened their eyes, others not. some are elders, some brothers & sisters but nobody has betrayed us yet.
Some day & will give more details

Hi Joy,
We are fading away at the moment, they went after my wife recently, but she is way smarter than them.... we do not play by their rules anymore. I think we still have some time, we need it to help more friends. At least 14 people (family & friends) have seen the light & left since the UN Affair).

My wife & I have some days ago talked to our maid, she had been studying the bible with a pioneer for almost a year & was beeing pressured into baptism. We informed her all about the WT-UN scandal & other things... She has just cancelled her study. The pioneer did tell her that she could not cancel it, that she had to get baptized because she had attended the meetings & was "in". She told our maid that she will bring the elders to help her come back. Our maild WILL NOT come back (& she will not tell them about our conversation).
We are glad to have helped our maid.
