Beware of PIMO'S in the Congregation. Convention day 1 video

the governing body is now focusing on those that are pimos in the congregation, trying to wake up pimis.

they have a video series featuring a mom, dad, and son.

the mom is fighting cancer.

Regarding the remaining people inside the Witness religion:: we can never know how many genuinely believe it OR are faking it for the sake of family there.

When I planned my ‘Fade’ after that 1995 Generation teaching, I did so without the slightest concern about what anybody thought about me.. I had no family there so I just bounced... So what if I was further shunned because I worked and didn’t pioneer?? Let them gossip.. This was no loss to somebody in my situation.

However, other Witnesses sitting there growing old with family in Do Not have this luxury - and they are sitting there faking it and getting sick and tired.

What an understatement to say I’m Thankful I got out of the religion ages ago.

i knew a lady who was disfellowshipped for 20 years for smoking.

she finally went back to the kh and since they couldn't find her paperwork, (all the former elders were dead) she was allowed back in without reinstatement.

no one even remembered her.

It amazes me how heartbreaking and ridiculous some of these disfellowshipping stories are.

Somebody half-dead who doesn’t even know what’s going on gets disfellowshipped.🙄 Wow, I guess that showed them!.. I’m sure the congregation was then ‘clean’ from their harmful influence, right?🙄

I'm sure all these disfellowshippings and pushing people out the door over faulty teachings was in the days when the congregations were filled with people. Egotistical elders imagined people would be begging to come back crawling on their bellies. Those days are gone.

Now the religion can Dream On because they cannot get people to stay and are trying to entice people long gone to come back into their toxic world.. I am a long-time ‘Fader’ and you couldn’t pay me to go back to the JWs.

When I was ‘in’ I never really thought too much about it.

I remembered the phrase “you do not owe the truth to somebody who doesn’t deserve it”. This was presented in the scenario of persecution when authorities ‘wanted to know where the brothers were hiding’. So, at the time I didn’t think it was so bad.

Now that I’m Out? Wow. It’s shocking.. Doesn’t matter now, but I think I was a victim of bait & switch all those years ago.. I guess I “didn’t deserve the truth”.. Right? Also, what about all the urban legends/fallacies (false stories) famous in the congregations.. Why do you hear the same cliche remarks from coast to coast - whether you are in California or the East Coast?

I figured it must’ve been company men’s’ jobs to sprinkle these little seeds on their visits everywhere.. Can’t imagine where else these ideas came from.. Why then do you have JWs everywhere believing the same fallacies or parroting the same phrases??

The fallacy that bothers me the most (which still exists) are Witnesses who imagine ‘somebody’ is going to ‘give them something’ if they make personal sacrifices to pioneer. 🙄 This belief refuses to die. Hmm. Wonder where they got this idea from??😉

The Witnesses expelled you in their arrogance and high horse. You told them off when they tried to control your life which they have no business doing..but they do it anyway.. They tried with me.. This was a blessing in disguise for you as you could have ended up a broke pioneer. Be glad this didn’t happen.

Now, they are desperate because they have lost so many people - especially men.. They made a mistake but would never admit it… Now they want to benefit from your secular know-how and better financial status. What hypocrites!

This is infuriating and similar to them thinking they are going to target somebody for money who they criticized/shunned for working in the first place - which is the main reason why I have No use for this religion.👎

I think you got Disfellowshipped for calling them a ‘bunch of dumb azzes’.. if that’s what you actually said.

But, I am not sure a person would be disfellowshipped for going to college. If you gave a ‘milder’ answer it probably wouldn’t have happened. But I’m sure it worked out for the best.

Even though I am a ‘walk away’, I am glad I did not show a so-called ‘sheeplike’ personality when I ignored those fools who wanted me to quit a decent job to be in the full time ministry. Today I am ever Grateful!

What that smug elder told you is unfortunately true.. I came to see that people with a brain or a sense of justice could not stay in the toxic Witness religion.

Even though the 1995 Generation teaching is what made me finally get out of there, I had a list of grievances. This issue of corrupt, stupid or egotistical elders was right at the top and the criticism of responsible working people next on my list!

I can see that happening. Now they are so desperate for people they would probably embrace her!

Back years ago when I was in the Witnesses and there was a considerable population, it seems the elders were arrogant and would ‘push’ certain people out. People could be disfellowshipped because of elder’s egos over some issue. I perceived the elders were bullies.

Because I knew people in the religion (rank & file) were unreliable with the culture of unaccountability that exists in the JWs, I never had any important dealings with anybody.. If there was a dispute some bullying elder would have said ‘you should let it go’. I wouldn’t have any of this.

I had no intention of being victimized by some idiot there - which is what the religion expects. They want little victims there who tolerate anything and won’t speak up… I would have taken somebody to court. That would not have gone over well.

What does the Catholic church think of JW?

on a trip to rome a few years ago i asked my friend (who is roman and jw) what the catholic faith thinks of jw.

he simply stated that jw is tolerated by the church but that really not much thought is given to them.

is there an official stance on jw by the catholics?

That is interesting about the Catholics not recognizing Witness baptisms as valid because they don’t baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

I never thought about this. How funny that now that I am long Out of the Witnesses, I only recognize the Roman Catholic baptism I received in infancy as valid..(To be honest I never stopped viewing it as valid..I wondered to myself why it was necessary to be baptized again by the JWs if somebody was already baptized a Christian elsewhere).

My Catholic baptism was more official and at least provided me with a document that can be used for an ID if needed.

VE Day (victory in Europe) and the Generation.

i am watching the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of ve day.

80 years since the defeat of nazi germany in 1945. i find the interviews of the stalwart men and women who played their part very moving.

these veterans speak with pride and sadness about their experiences, those they lost, those they fought alongside.

I seem to remember the song “Waltzing Mathilda” from when I was a child - and that was way before 1980. Just sayin’.

If somebody did a redo at a later date, I am unaware of it.

Also, it’s true that the memories of the older generations are inconvenient for the Jehovah’s Witness religion.. They are embarrassed about anybody who lived through a time of one of their failed prophecies!

Youths who gave up amazing lives

when i was growing up i remember many young people interviewed on the platform at assemblies.

the ones who really stood out are the talented ones who gave up amazing lives to pioneer.. i remember specifically when i was a boy in the 70s and 80s some who were very good at sport or something.

their teachers begged them to get professional training use their talents to the full.

Yeah, they are desperate to get people back, especially brothers.

Because there are so many women in the JW religion, they never missed me which suited me just fine.. Only women who provided a material benefit would be missed or pursued. Maybe these women opened up their home and fed the freeloaders OR provided some free service. (I got criticized for working so they got zero from me.)

If you went back you would be hit up for money to give to people who hardly worked. That’s the sad handwriting on the wall in the religion!
