I guess my first real experiences with worldly people as a free person would be hanging out with people from work after our shift.
It was always spontaneous, it didn't have to be planned a week in advance, like it does for JWs. It was smooth and simple and fun.
Everyone was really genuine, just human beings. I think the lack of hypocrisy makes them come off a bit better than most JWs, actually.

On kids, its mostly belly buttons and nostrils on high school age girls, and interesting ear piercings (besides the lobe)

Technically, you can do the big hole in the ear thing from a standard size ear piercing, like what I'm sure you have in your ears. We do sell jewelry for stretched lobes, but we also use discernment, and won't sell to people who we don't think understand what they are doing. As far as heavier modifications, you must be 18, and we have to be confident that this is somethig you really want, before you get implanted or things of that sort. Its up to our discretion, and honestly, a lot of people don't measure up.
Do you need to check ID or do you do anyone?
not only do we check ID, we make a copy, and have the client sign a consent form that says this is what they want.
He said 14g although he did have one at 12g at one time.
It's not about being brave enough to do his own (he said the genital ones weren't bad at all (since they were just beneath the skin)...the nipple piercings were the hard ones! (he didn't have one of those neat attachments where the jewelry basically follows the needle through)...He's just too chickinsh*t to let someone else do it to him!
well if they were an adequate gauge, then they must have just not been deep enough. It doesn't take a genius to put a needle through someone's body, but it does take a bit of know how... And nipples do suck. Mine were done at 8g initally. That was a horrible decision.

Please understand I am not knocking anyone's choices or saying they are wrong in doing this stuff.....it just isn't for ME, ya know? I wouldn't even MIND a small butterfly, flower or tiny fairy tattooed on my ankle, back or upper arm....but those piercings that HAVE to hurt and chafe.....would make me think long and hard about them if I was younger.
Its understandable. Trust me though when I say that if it was THAT bad, not so many people would do it. And there's no pain once everything is healed, and chafing is non existant too.

my lovely girlfriend and i sat down over a homecooked meal, and discussed the pros and cons of attending the memorial.. i decided, with her support, that we would attend.. i spent years of my life pretending to be a witness to please my mother.
when i left the witnesses, my mother said some hurtful things.. and those things really hurt me... for a while.
but i established myself as my own person, developed my own relationships, and have gotten a good start on my own life.. i don't know that i want to hurt my mother back, but i do want to make it abundantly clear to her, my grandmother, and all the members of my former congregation, that richierich is alive and kicking.. and i think that walking into the kingdom hall, dressed respectfully in a suit, yet with full piercing jewelry intact, and with erika wearing something classy that steals the brother's eyes, and draws glares from the humble sisters, will be just the thing to send that message to my mother.. i don't plan on partaking or making a disturbance.

Actually, yes. It won't be that bad for her, since she knows its coming. But sometimes I don't think she completely believes me when I tell her how crazy things were. And this should confirm that.

No. They don't. But my earlobes are an inch in diameter, and the holes in my cartilage are about 3/8ths of an inch. And my septum (middle of nose) is pierced, and i do plan to wear jewelry in it, even though I usually conceal it at work. I'm thinking that if I've got it, I should flaunt it.

Hubby's genital piercings (all done by *himself* - they were all subcutaneous, no PA or anything remotely like that) have all migrated out, but they were nice while they lasted.
What size jewelry was he using? Usually, small surface piercings through vascular tissue reject fairly easily, unless they're at least 12g. But bonus points to him for being brave enough to do his own work.

For the record - he doesn't tattoo, neither do I. We're both tattooed, but our shop isn't a tattoo shop. Its a piercing shop, that offers heavier modifications.

Scarification is cutting the skin to produce a scar in some design. Its not as widely accepted as tattooing, as most people don't understand it fully, but it's a way of forcing the body to adorn itself.

Do these metal pieces come off like say earrings if the person so wishes? I can't see how pierced men can have sex with these on it looks like they will be hurting their partners.
yes, jewelry can easily be removed. thanks to threaded and tension fit varieties, it stays in when you want it in, but it comes out easy too. And if it hurt their partners, people wouldn't do it...

IT all started as a joke. I have tons of friends with sleeves, and everybody has japanese work, or flames, or skulls, or tribal mess. But I'm not Japanese, I'm not on fire, I'm not dead, and I'm not from a primitive culture. But I AM fat. Pretty much a friend who is a tattoo artist asked me what my favorite foods were, and I told him. Peeps happen to be a favorite, even when I was a Witness, mom would let me get Peeps when they were available in the store. So they just fit.
That's about six hours worth of linework, which will get thickened up in the next week or so , and then we will start on the 20 + hours of coloring.
